The new mechanics are great (and with great I mean REALLY great), the new animations and flashing effects are awesome, but I was deeply disappointed by the horrible 3D effect. It's flat and without depth. I have always played MH4U with the 3D on, it helped me with the distance between me and the monsters. In MHGen is always off. In addition, the story is practically inexistent.
