Ol' Dirty Backlog ▼
2021 release schedule was crazy, let's spend 2022 catching up!
Gamepass is not helping my cause 😅 also? Sega picross is fantastic
2018: Finally finishing the old Backlog!
This year, I either finish all the old games or accept I'm just not gonna & start anew - no regrets!
2016: Cain't stop, won't stop, eh eh, eh eh
40 games is way too much, so i'm slowing down the PS4/WU purchases to mostly deals on remakes (for future replays) & gonna work on tying up more of the multitude of JRPG's in my backlog - first up? The Shining series!
Q3 '15: 2015 = DREAMS COME TRUE
goddamn, we got Shenmue 3, Nier 2, VLR 3, Last Guardian, Persona 5, Zelda WU, and pretty much everything but Silent Hills in the future?! what a time to be alive This is pretty much just Bloodborne for me - then more classic gaming! Updated a ton of stuff that needs finishing, let's see how far I get with that.
Feb '14: Drought schedule = classic gaming!
Duo's back & NES is RGB modded, tons of Dreamcast games incoming. Let's do this.
2014: Year of the Saturn
Okay so i didn't finish all the Zeldas & Metroids (most of em) so i figure the new console drought cycle makes this (plus 20th anniversary!) the perfect time to fully explore the Sega gen I missed out on!
2013: 3rd quarter free-throws
Okay, backlog's still heavy but i'm focusing on my New Year's resolution of beating every mainline Metroid & Zelda game, leaving:
Prime 3
II: Return of Samus (giving up hope on AM2R...)
Not counting Link to the Past 2 just yet, but hopefully I'm done before it drops...wish me luck!
2013: The Challenge - clear all prior backlog!
Entering the new year with a record-breaking (for me) 26 games, not counting next year's stuff. I beat 27 games this year, so I should at least be able to finish the year overall in the single-digits! Wish me luck.
Games to get in 2013: Yakuza 5 (GOTY!), Phoenix Wright 5, SMT 4, PSO 2.0, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Fire Emblem Awakening, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi's Mansion 2, and PBioshock Infinite. A lot of those are timesinks, so we'll see how this goes.
3rd quarter(ish) 2011: Original Backlog complete!
Finally finished the games that've been plaguing me since I joined 2 years ago! Feels good, man.
Now onto the new pile from this year's Steam sale, plus fan projects & emulation. Already a dozen deep, and the holiday flood is about to begin!
mid-2011: Ahead on my way
Still working through my steam/PC backlog...after that: Sega Saturn!
Forever nulling out any game before it becomes a chore - trying to tie up as much as I can before Dark Souls/UC3/Zelda SS and all the HD collections show up!
2011: Playing only for fun
Added a bunch of steam games - trying to catch up on my PC backlog here, but I'm not gonna make any of this a chore. Blue skies forever!
PS 1000+ GAMES PLAYED! madness, not even counting all the forgotten arcade ones. Thanks for your help here, maldrons!
2010: New Rules
Ok, here's my personal criteria for this backlog:
Beaten - Using this if i cheated/tag-teamed a game with a friend
Complete - I beat the game, ideally seeing all endings
Mastered - Platinum/all achievements or in old school games, did all there was to do.
Nulled - I either don't intend to beat this game or don't think that's the point of it.
Slight variation on the site's setup, but I'm having a lot more fun this way, and as soon as this hobby becomes a chore, I'm out.
Started out this year with less than 25 games in queue, and it's looking like a good year for gaming. Not sure I can clean up my backlog entirely by the year's end, but I'm damn sure gonna try. Wish me luck!
2009: It begins.
Since Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain & such got bumped back till 2010, this year, I'm gonna clean up my queue a
