Oh hey! I apologize for such late reply!! I had been uh... busy lol. I couldn't actually remember until I looked up my discord messages (I share a lot of details of my playthroughs with my discord buddies) and saw I clocked right at 212 hours for both playthroughs. Yes, I went through the vanilla, saving the community center. Then I replayed it again to get the warehouse and to have loads of money for the steam achievement lol. I should add that I took a very long hiatus in my gametime when the game first launched (I stopped at 50 hours), but I picked it back up from there.

Absolutely. 'Unlimited SaGa' is legitimately one of my favourite games of all time, easily Top 3.

I used to change my theme or whatever to match the last "big" game I beat... but whenever I added Kat, I gave up. It's been years lmao.

Thanks for the congrats! Yeah 9-5 is the max setting, and when you beat it you get a fancy graphic of some music being played and a rocket taking off into space. That's about as as anything I can think of

Dude literally the same story with me lol!! I had the original on the 360 and loved it, you'd think I'd get this years ago when it came out right? Nope!

Nevertheless I'm loving it too, awesome game and exactly what I thought it'd be.

According to my backloggery (I couldn't remember off hand), 285 hours lol. 10-20 of that was probably from idle but most of that was definitely post game. Its an incredible game for sure! I love it! I'm glad you love it too!

X however, not so much. Its... not the same game personally. I mean sure its very similar graphically and all, but the core greatness that xenoblade was, just wasn't in X.

:D I've completed Xenoblade lol. Are you going to do the ingame achievements? Their sidequests isn't THAT bad like Zelda's 900 koroks, to put that into perspective.

Tried and true formula for any digging game. I enjoyed it too. I'm just about maxed out on my upgrades. I'm trying to get unobstainum? for a request quest. Its hard as hell to get because you need air bombs or bombs that won't destroy gems and they can go for either 6 million or 2 million. :

The main reason is because I'm just not a big enough FF fan, and not a whole lot changed in Curtain Call for me. They improved it by putting in quests and such, but I don't ever need any items nor do I care about Collectacards or unlocking more characters. It's going to be super grindy for me just to get 40,000 Rhythmia so I can unlock the last song.

I do like the FF spinoffs (Crystal Chronicles, Crystal Bearers, Chocobo Dungeon, Chocobo Tales, etc.), which they added *some* music from, but they're still underrepresented if present at all. I'm MUCH more excited for Dragon Quest Theatrhythm! FF Curtain Call is great if you wanted more of the same (and no new gameplay additions btw), but it's just not very appealing to me.

(Note that I also got REALLY sick of the first game by the time I got the final song unlock)

It really is. In a way, it's kind of depressing how good it is. It's the game I think of when I think about how good video game writing can be, how good it generally isn't, and how pretty much no developers are even trying to make anything of the same scope now.

...but yeah, it's pretty great ^^

going through my records, I had the game two days before I added it here (I add steam games really slowly) and I remember starting it the day of

that being said dasII in general is kind of easy, especially compared to dasI

Good to know! I've only played for about an hour or so and my hand was getting fairly sore, but it may just be that I'm not relaxing my hands as I strain and twitch to hit all the buttons. Typically in rhythm games I'll fall into a groove where I don't strain so much.

I like your advice though! Have fun, enjoy games

Compass! Dunno if you're still hanging around, but I just borrowed a copy of Beatmania from a friend and I'm looking to learn. Do you have any advice for a completely new IIDX player and/or are you willing to answer a few questions?

Indeed, and in fact I just finished up Castlevania IV tonight, so thats one more system completed! I have been making an effort to try to work on older games first. Not only does it help with the backlog, but reduces the number of systems hooked up to my TV at once. Its comforting to see the number of systems slowly getting reduced, although there are still a few MAJOR hurdles obviously

The backlog IS slowly getting defeated though!

Drakkhen really is quite terrible. I can see how at the time it may have had some appeal, but it (obviously) ages extremely poorly. Thankfully I was able to play it in a situation with a friend nearby to help laugh at the shortcomings and make it a mostly pleasant experience. There being a game-breaking infinite experience coding error in Drakkhen also helped in getting through the game painlessly too. It was the major hurdle between me and finishing my SNES backlog... and now I only have 2 games left, neither of which are bad!

Yeah I really enjoyed it. You should play it. It's more accessable than Disgaea and is a it easier. Of course it doesn't have quite the same depth as Disgaea but it's still really fun.

Yeah it will indeed take a lifetime to beat all those good rpg ps2 games. To make it even worse.. I only started gaming and beating games when the ps3 was already out.. I should have played more in the ps2generation, then the would not be that big.

Thnx yeah I like my theme as well

Very nice list of PS2 games, it was a great console for rpg's. Never felt that way with xbox30 or ps3... they have both great rpg's for sure... but the PS2 had all of them... compared to gamecube and xbox. I still need to beat a lot of PS2 rpg's as well!

I didn't get a chance to play too much ever since I got it because I need CRT for the earlier games but I did play on Lunatic Rave 2 a bit and on 8th style. I'm god damn terrible at this game but I enjoy it. Wish I had an arcade with IIDX over here.

I also managed to get myself an invite to bemaniso.ws so when I get more familiar with the series, getting the PC emulators would be easy.
