Nice work on SRnR! One of my favourite games as a child, though I could never beat it at the time. Going back and clearing it later in life was kind of the catalyst for me getting back into retro games. The last two stages and the final boss are pure evil.

Yes. That was the moment I realized how difficult and unfair NES Rare games were. Other examples:

- Yellow car going turbo speed in R.C. Pro-AM.
- Double Dare's obstacle course.
- IronSword depleting continues for no reason.
- All of Who Framed Roger Rabbit
- Battletoads supposedly being impossible to finish with two players

Is it the different characters? Or do they play different songs for each character? ... are there penguins in it?

Everyone on here is playing Bloodstained! Why am I hesitant? I love Castlevania III.

It definitely seems like it's for super players. The fact that GameFAQs has listed the difficulty as "unforgiving" with red letters doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

I didn't see any SMB arcade machines when I was young, except for once at a diner out of state.

Kotaku made an article called "VS. Super Mario Brothers is the meanest trick Nintendo has ever played." I didn't even bother clicking it because it just sounded like another cookie cutter Nintendo naysayer article. Exactly how would it be the meanest trick they played? Well, I guess I'd have to read the article, but still, the flat out meanest trick? What about the prize for getting all those coins in New Super Mario Brothers 2? That's a much meaner trick by far.

You know... I kinda do wish that NSMB2 actually played like Doki Doki Panic. Wouldn't that be neat? An actual new SMB2? I'd say so.

Congrats on Tales of the Abyss, I only made about 7 hours before I lost interest but I was having a good time. Didn't realize it was an under 40 hour game though, I should pick it back up at some point.
