Sorry I didn't respond for a bit, my PS3 sorta conked out right after your comment so I didn't get to really do much with things for the past week.

I... don't think I like the field in FF XIII much at all? I think for those who felt stifled by the game's approach up to that point it was likely a welcome breath of fresh air. I sorta knew the game was gonna be on rails heading in and put myself in the head space for that, hence in comparison I'm mostly aware at how what was a consistent amount of momentum and pacing more or less dissipated. Mainly though I got pretty lost as to where I'm supposed to go and while the hunts are neat it is causing me a lot of backtracking along the side paths so I've come across the same gauntlet of battles 3+ times in a row, plus I also triggered something that wasn't hinted at or explained before or after so I'm concerned I've wandered well off the intended narrative path.

That said I think I finally grasped the proper intended direction to take (funnily enough right across the giant field which I will say is rather pleasant to gaze at the creatures wandering about) so hopefully I just had a bit of a rough intro to it and things perk up now. Glad you liked it though, sorry I take it that the preceding... 30 or so hours prior wasn't quite to your liking though.

I love my Evercade, too (just not the dust and hair particles that must have entered through the earphone or one of the other ports). I wish there was a way to remove the screen to clean under it! I've tried compressed air, but that didn't work.

Edit: I used a plastic spudger to separate the screen from the system a little bit and was able to get the dust out that way.

I really enjoyed Poketbike Racing. Definitely worth the 5$ it was sold at
