I am. It has been keeping me away from Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail more than I want, but I try to log onto the PC versions of those titles just to do dailies (when I can remember).

Right now, I'm trying to perfect my crazy Player Vendor stand's prices.

Copies of Recipes I find (and have already learned) are listed at 20 caps each, while all copies of learned Plans will sell at 40 caps each. And when Legendary Weapons will be the crazy part; let's say I got a Ghoul Slayer's Pipe Pistol, which is a 3 star weapon (+50 DMG to Ghouls, +50 Limb DMG, 10% change to go Invis for 2 secs when hitting a target) and was valued by the game at 142. I go down one digit for each number, so this weapon when I sell it is at a cheap 31 caps. Crazy, huh? Meanwhile, another legendary WPN is valued at 769, but going down one digit each, it's for sale at 658.

I got beginner armor for new players if any of them ever visit my vendor CAMP and can get a whole leather armor set (legs, arms, chest) for 5 caps each (25 total). And then my Aids/Chems; the valued price is marked down considerably. The Addictol is game valued at 60. I mark it down to 30 instead. Stimpaks/Rad-X/RadAway will always be 10 caps, whiel their Diluted versions are just 5 caps.

Got Fallout 76 for free via Amazon Prime Gaming in celebration of the Fallout Prime TV show. It apparently had an unmentioned Gamepass Trial 'cuz after several days playing it, this morning (2024/4/18) when I started the game it immediately kicked me over to the Gamepass menu. So i shelled out for the Gamepass Core at $9.99 per month just to keep playing.

Yes, it's a completely valid point, but it's also true that it gamifies language learning with the XP system and leagues. Meh, I guess it's in limbo of what is and isn't a game

This is still a WIP, but I am writing a guide for getting each Megaten game running on Steam Deck.

[Link]

tl;dr ProtonDB covers all the official releases, but things like fan translations, non-steam PC games, and emulation wouldn't be covered. This guide aims to collect all the applicable information for each individual release.

You're welcome.
Brandish 4 has a partial English translation, but I don't know if it has been translated well enough to understand the game's narrative (or to understand the game's mechanics).

I liked the game.
It's a good dungeon crawler and very different from what I know from DCs.
I didn't really like the implementation of character rotation, but overall it was a rewarding experience.
Avoid the super nintendo version and play the PSP remake if you're interested in the game.
Maybe I'll play Brandish 2 later, but not for now.
Play through a guide if you can.

March felt like it lasted forever, to be honest, but I do feel like I got a lot of shit done in March, too, so it didn't exactly drag on. Hell, even here, I got a lot done; I'm down to just in this set I've been working on since 2018! Yeah, I know Climate Crisis is up there, but my laundry day game doesn't count. Timespinner's probably gonna be quick, and then it's on to my Yakuza marathon, and if I manage to finish that with a decent amount of Summer left (even mid-August would work), maybe I'll treat myself to a Mega Man marathon before piling on the next set.

There's a lot to like, but I'd prefer just one my color (my page looks so EMPTY), and I'm not sure how the social features are going to work, but I hope we'll still have public comments when it's all said and done. Kinda mixed on it overall, to be honest, but not something I'd bitch about; I respect the vision.

I like to hit the level cap in the older Ys games, especially the ones that have the bump system, just so I don't have to deal with as much of the final boss's shit, but I took him out at the bare minimum level, just because I couldn't take anymore; pretty sure I still had several levels to go. They did such a good job balancing the first game; it boggles my mind how they could fuck up the second so badly ON THE SAME DISC.

I actually just finished New Game + and got all the equipment this time around, and it was fun, but I played it too close to the Seiken Densetsu 3 remake, so I kept trying to jump or finish combos with heavy attacks. Still pretty good, but maybe kind of a slow start?

I actually don't remember the music from most of the Ys games, aside from 3, because I've played 3 dozens of times by now. 5 is no exception; I can't recall a single track from 5... or even much of what happens in the game. I was thinking they'd make a remake of 5 between 9 and 10 in the style of 9, since that's been the formula for a while, but having recently tried 9, I'm kinda done with the series. The idea of throwing in 3D Platformer elements was cool, but they added everything I hate about 3D Platformers with almost none of the good stuff. I at least got a chuckle out of the idea that the plot was getting roped into some dorky bitch's bad cosplay routine, and the fact that all the other participants seemed to be completely over her shit, too.

December would be PERFECT; that time when autumn is transitioning into winter is exactly when I was talking about. The original Anodyne makes me think more of that part of summer where the evenings drag on and the sunsets seem to last forever, but the sequel would be great for December.

Better, but I think either my network card or WiFi dongle are starting to go, because at best, my connection speed is about 1/10 what it's supposed to be. Granted, now that we've upgraded from DSL, that's a fuck of a lot more than the 2.53 I was getting (on a GOOD day), and I don't need much more for anything, but I think this thing is kinda wearing out. I think Borderlands 3 was causing a lot of the issues, because I haven't had any hard drive fuckery since then (it's apparently pretty intense to run), but that still means I need some kind of upgrade.

Apple used to be the shit back in the day; that was the brand you wanted for any kind of computer, but then they started fucking around with DRM and shit, and just became hostile toward their customers, who in turn just worshiped them harder, so why would they ever change? I mean, it's nice having the kind of computer that's easy to use, but they could do that without being dickheads about it; no reason to LOCK YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING MUSIC LIBRARY until you dig out some old computer to uninstall iTunes. That even used to be a great music program years ago, but these days, I use WinAmp for my VGM and Foobar for everything else. Yes, those still exist.

I'll weigh in on Esper Dream. The first game is pretty neat, but a little hard to go back to once you've played the second, because said sequel is THAT much better; probably my favorite NES game full stop. They're top-down Action-Adventures with encounters you can see, and your weapons are guns, so the combat isn't awkward, like in Hyrule Fantasy. As for the vibe, the first one has that sort of late '80s early morning feel to it; it is very Konami for that era, but not the Konami most people think of.

Okay well I went ahead and got Astlibra, under your extremely enthusiastic and powerful recommendation.

Esper Dream, I know not much of, but Esper Dream 2, you gonna love! You go into these books and fight monsters and the visuals and audio are top notch late NES era style, also Konami flavored. If you are able to, play it! It isn't long.

I see I see. I think doing something like that might be... next to impossible for me due to my executive dysfunction and 'tism, but... it sure would be cool. I've wanted some kind of routine again for ages, I thrive on one whereas I flounder the heck out when left to the wide world of choices
