It is tonally all over the place.

It felt like the writer(s) had never written or even read a mystery before.

I'm not a fan of it being a plot-driven game full of thin characters with big personalities that do or say the same things over and over to boost up that runtime.

I was super bummed that I could not get into Viscera Cleanup. I don't know what I was expecting, but I think I was hoping it was less repetitive busywork and more light puzzle elements.

It is easily the weakest of the four, but it is still a great game. The levels are smaller and more vertical, which I don't like as much.

There is one chapter that is super awesome because of how everything flows (you will know which one when you play it), it's too bad the others are "just" very good.

Why did you have to join the Twins organization of all places? I'm sure there was room to start out in the glorious White Sox farm system!

I assume that you are unfortunately a Twins fan and am just making a joke

It's mostly factions attacking me for absolutely no reason, and I have to reload my last save every time because I don't want to have negative relationships with me for no apparent reason.

For example, there's this heavily radiated city with NCR troops where I need to do a mission about collecting dogtags from ghoul soldiers. Near there is a Legionnaire camp with Powder Gang captives. I have a good relationship with NCR, neutral with Legionnaires, and Villified among Powder Gang.

I leave my companion (Boone) behind at the NCR camp and fast travel to the Legionnaire camp. They shoot me despite having not last time. I reload and travel on foot. They shoot me still. I take some dead Legionnaires uniform, walk near the camp, put it on, and release the soldiers fine.

Then I go a safe distance from the camp, take off the suit, and fast travel to the NCR camp. They shoot me. I reload, take off the suit, and then approach the NCR camp on foot, grab Boone, and the NCR come along and don't shoot me. Maybe it's my fast travel that's bugged, but completing that side quest was 100 times more difficult than it needed to be.

Also, Backloggiversary!

It essentially doesn't exist. You die and 95% of the time, you go straight back to the start of the planet. Not only that, but all bolt-carrying crates that you destroyed don't come back, the ammo you used up is not replenished, and all enemies are brought back to life. That's just awful all around.

Do you know if the checkpoint system is remotely decent in Going Commando? Of all the problems I had with Ratchet & Clank, their way of handling a checkpoint system was probably the worst.

That will probably be my deciding factor in whether or not I will go straight to Up Your Arsenal.

The good thing about Hitman is that there are always more that 3 ways to do it.

I am only about halfway through, but here are my thoughts:

- It feels fresh and exhilarating.
- Has some nice sound to it in terms of effects and music.
- Looks quite nice, especially the environments and their use of color.

- Combat should never been included. Doesn't feel like it belongs and it isn't very fun.
- Pacing is weird because one moment you will be running for your life and the next you will be going at a snail's pace doing some puzzle.

Basically, if DICE went in the direction of making it a game built on the adrenaline rush that is the core of the game, it could have been something truly special, but as of right now, I would have to say that it is a game with plenty of wasted potential that borders on the line between above-average and good.
