Over the last few weeks I’ve been updating my library here to reflect anything I’ve obtained or anything that has changed, reevaluating the statuses of lots of games and so on. At the same time I’ve been working on beating Sonic Frontiers, just finished it on the 26th.
There were a lot of games I had nulled on here out of fear of making that / number way too big. I have since added a few missing games and changed any applicable game (save for sequels in which I haven’t touched the previous game) to / . Before I started redoing everything that number was in the 120s, now it reads 270. As scary as that number seems at first—not to mention any new releases or old games from collections I could play— I can’t imagine I’m gonna really beat them all, but I will TRY them all. If I drop them, I’m making a conscious decision to spend my time on something more fun, and I’ll mark those games as such.
Last year was one of the busiest times of my life, leaving me with less free time than ever. Now I’m sure I could’ve beat more than just the two games I did last year— and of all things those two were Super Mario Land and Elmo’s Number Journey, yeah only the necessities— I plan of setting more time aside to enjoy games. It’s also gonna be my main motivator for spending less time scrolling on my phone all day and night. That’s seriously something I really wanna swap out for time spent doing something that is actually gratifying.
Anyways, just wanted to throw up an update, even though it’s really just for myself, I’m really planning on #BreakingBacklogs this year.
