Ciao! My friends call me TUMF (AKA The Ultimate Mario Fan) and as my name implies, I
love Mario more than anything else there is! (Σ(;o}D
As testament to my fandom, I own EVERY SINGLE Mario game ever released across ALL REGIONS. Only problem is, this feat has also left me with a colossal backlog... I'll be using this site mainly to keep up with playing all of my games, and as a record to keep track of them.
My first video game ever was back in '97 with
Mario Kart 64, and my favorite game of all time is
Super Mario 64. My favorite genres are platformers, puzzle-platformers, RPGs, action-adventures, and text adventures. (Like my favorite plumber, I'm pretty well-rounded.) Aside from Mario, I tend to prefer unusual/unpopular/obscure games.
Thanks for stopping by! Ciao for now!

An explanation of what my symbols mean:

applies to games I own but haven't played or opened yet.

refers to a game I've started but haven't beaten yet, hence 'unfinished'. I try hard not to leave any of my games at this status.

means a game I've completed the main objective of. I may also mark games with this if I have already done everything but simply need more time with them.

refers to a game I've done all there is to do in terms of extra levels, high scores, unlockables, sidequests, and/or important items. I also eventually mark games this that are unbeatable (i.e. Mario Paint, Animal Crossing, 100 Classic Books).

signifies games I am unable to play, don't plan to play or plan to keep sealed, and also applies to games on my wishlist.

is for games where I truly went above and beyond what is necessary for completion, or reached a high level of skill unusual for that type of game.
My ratings refer to how much I personally enjoyed my games. Here's an explanation of what the number of stars signifies:
★★★★★- Favorite game of all time, constitutes a perfect rating. It has to be an extraordinary game for me to rate it
this.
★★★★- Phenomenal and outstanding game, one of the best I've ever played. Not one of my absolute #1 favorites but very close to it.
★★★- Fantastic game, thoroughly excellent, though doesn't carry quite as strong convictions as the previous two.
★★- Okay game, not bad but not great, though definitely better than it is worse. Basically a pretty good game.
★- This is for games I do not like, or were just poor in quality. Pretty much the only unequivocally negative rating I'll use.
Collector Notes: Every single one of my FDS, GCN, Wii, Wii U, NS, DS, 3DS, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP, PSV, PC, WS, CD-i, GEN, SS, and Lynx games are complete. All the Mario games I own are either complete or at the very least include the manual and are in like new condition.
Disclaimer: The games I add to my "Now Playing" do not reflect every game I'm playing right now, but simply ones I'm currently focusing on progressing through. I also do not update game text as I go along - I use Backloggery strictly as a record. I always keep my Memory Card up to date though, so feel free to check that if you're interested.

Yes. I think I got everything I wanted. There could be a niche game I didn't realize existed at the time, but barring that possibility I did manage to pick up all the games that I was interested in. I didn't get all the DLC though. Ah well~ Did you grab everything you wanted?
I did see it with my hubby. We both really enjoyed it. Jack Black as Bowser STOLE the show IMO! But I definitely appreciated a cool Peach too. If they make another one, I want more Luigi! We also thought it was interesting that they went back to the old USA-only canon for the Bros. Curious if Nintendo is going to pull a Zelda and have two timelines. The Yoshi Island timeline and the SMB USA canon timeline. LMAO. . Toad also gave me Captain Toad vibes! Animation was well done too. How did you find it?
