Things are going slightly better this time. I got lucky with Hidden Potential (I think?) and got a sniper with 80+ aim. ...now she has 100+ with a scope

I got all my units wounded from an abduction mission, and then immediately after I got a terror mission and only have 2 heavies, a sniper, and 4 rookies.

Still, I wouldn't make a Mech until the unit you're using is a colonel. I think that helps their stats.
Also, the Mech has a separate skill tree, so all of your training roulette skills will be overridden.

Yeah I tried Training Roulette on my first army of four run, but I thought it would be easier to just use the basic classes and their builds.

For Mechs? A Colonel Sniper is the best Mech.

Yeah! It's funny, because in every single playthrough of XCOM I always end up using Zhang as the Volunteer because he's so awesome

Mechs are awesome. Especially if you use a Colonel Sniper as a Mech. Mechs can suffer from poor aim, but a Colonel Sniper Mech is amazing.

I think that Meld was a great addition to XCOM as a whole. It can change your strategy completely and I love it!

I really haven't tried Mimetic skin that much! I did have to download a patch today for the game that apparently balanced Mimetic skin so hopefully it's still overpowered

Best of luck to you with the non-lethal run. You should be fine as long as you're careful not to snap any necks, use non-lethal weapons, and wear the appropriate camo for whatever situation you find yourself in.

MGS3 is always fun stuff, are you only doing the boss fights non-lethally for them bonuses, or are you doing a non-lethal run?

Also, I do recommend going for 100% in all the missions of BoGT. Best feature they added, it's fun redoing them with all the varying goals. :3

You're never gonna get 250 achievements in any game. It's like speedrunning a JRPG. It can't be done.
