I think that the hate has more to do with comparison than anything else. The battle system is kind of a cross between the older games (Phantasia/Destiny) and the newer games (Symphonia, etc.), but since it came after Symphonia, it was probably looked at as a step backwards. And the graphics aren't quite as good as in Symphonia, either. Personally, I rather enjoyed Legendia, particularly the soundtrack.

Chloe's pretty cool, especially in battle. Grune is my favorite in terms of personality.

Xillia's pretty awesome, though a bit easy in my opinion. Still, well worth playing.

Hey cool, you're playing Legendia! You'll definitely want to do the Character Quests after the main game, as that's when you finally get some character development for the rest of the crew (though the voice acting stops for all of the scenes and skits, which I will never understand). Anyway, what are your thoughts so far?

I completely (HAR) agree! There's just so much you can miss if you don't go for the . Admittedly, sometimes it's a pain (Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance comes to mind), but I try to go for s anytime I can.
