I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Dragon Quest Builders once you've had some time with it. My interest dropped off a lot after finding out that it has no multiplayer, but it still looks pretty neat.

Well, it turns out I may have to import an actual FDS rather than just putting its BIOS on my Retro Freak...it doesn't seem to want to work, despite doing everything right and following directions exactly. I should be able to hook it up to the Famicom Expansion port if I do import one though. I've got a few games so far, most of them fairly obscure, but I mainly looked on the Romhacking translation page, and mainly combed through that for RPGs. I think I do want to get Zelda II and maybe Metroid, perhaps an Eggerland game.

I also might start importing PC Engine games or buying TurboGrafx 16 games, since the system has a slot for them and putting the games on a card can be very hit or miss. I'll have a good bit of extra income moving forward since I'm going full time at work in a few weeks, so who knows what I'll get. Definitely like to get some more Japanese Saturn games, and a 4TB PS4 HDD if one comes out soon. Only have 600GB free of my 2TB on PS4 HDD, and that's with deleting about a quarter of my games.

People have stuff like FDS, Sega CD, 32X, TGCD, and N64 running on the Retro Freak, and maybe more to come. It's only a matter of time till the word gets out how. So I ask you as someone who knows stuff about FDS games...are there any good ones? That aren't on NES in some form or another? I already got Zelda, but that's on NES, I think FDS has some enhancements? Seems to be a common thing for FDS/NES games

Hey, I have a quick suggestion for you!

I just finished Eternal Poison on the PS2 and I think you would really enjoy it. The game is a mixture of Fire Emblem and Odin Sphere. The game play is very Fire Emblem with a turn based tactical RPG style with characters in your party. The story is very Odin Sphere with different chapters for each main character woven into an overarching storyline. It's about 40 hours to really complete it, but each character's story is only about 12 hours. Really fun with a nice Gothic fantasy atmosphere. I just thought that it'd be right up your alley!

Yeah it was sooo good! I had never played a Fire Emblem game prior to Awakening so I look forward to maybe getting my hands on some of the others

And thanks for some more suggestions! I was so eager to play Dragon Age Origins and then school kinda took over and I never really had enough time to do it justice in my opinion, so I'll probably get to that sooner than to others. And I have been thinking about playing Until Dawn for quite some time now, the only thing is that I legit jump when someone sneezes and I'm not ready for it I'm pumped to see how it goes though

Aww, sorry! It was kinda spur of the moment. A friend on Steam asked to watch while I was playing so I did that Steam broadcast bit. The end of the game didn't like THAT too much, so I ended up cobbling together some Hitbox to try and finish it.

You know, how the game keeps crashing at the final boss on purpose? The Steam broadcast did not like that so it was easier just to move over to Hitbox, haha.

I had no idea what I was doing, and I couldn't figure out how to end the fight otherwise, so I ended up killing only one person my entire run: Toriel. So I have to restart the entire game but I missed out on a few things so True Pacifist should be fun?

I like the mechanics quirks, and it seems really neat and charming. But I dunno, I'm just not part of that age bracket or mentality that goes apeshit gushing fan over an IP like so many others do. (Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Sherlock, even Doctor Who etc, y'know?) It's neat but honestly kind of forgettable in many aspects. Though yeah the music is fan-flipping-tastic.

Super Metroid still holds up really well! It's one of two Metroid games that battle for my favorite Metroid game of all time (Metroid: Zero Mission is the other title.) Hope you enjoy it, Lyndis!

So what do you think of Super Metroid, as someone who's playing it for the first time?
