Tell me about it. I'm looking forward to unlocking stuff in Part 2 a lot, but I'm pretty sure I'll have to have a walkthrough open to get about half of them! I'm loving the series though, something about it makes me want to replay it even if it didn't have all those unlockables.

Yeah, I think it's pretty clear how much I like the series. If it makes things seem any more "realistic" to you, I'm rarely playing more than two at once. VI I haven't started yet and V's been put on hold for a while and I've been messing around with I and II, and then there's Dissidia. I love the series to death and I'm trying to see if I can get around to beating some of them - despite having played almost all of them at least once, I've only actually beaten two - I and IX.
