I'm a 6'10" guy that plays video games every so often. I enjoy playing all eras of video games, ranging from the ancient times of Spacewar! and Pong to the current era where the video game console manufacturers have become more or less solidified (i.e. Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony) and even big companies like Google have a hard time competing against the Big Three.
Overall, I'm a big believer in the idea that there are great video games as well as terrible games in each era of gaming; my preferences in games reflects that.
For the most part, I stick to arcade-style games, or at least games that feasibly could be played in an arcade. This has nothing to do with me going out of my way to want to beat games quickly, that's just what I prefer. My tastes in games have evolved like this most likely due to the large amount of web browser games I played as a child; those games are what got me started playing video games as a whole.
Favorite genres: Fighting, racing, shoot-em-up, arcade, puzzle, sports, beat-em-up, run & gun, platformer, light gun
Favorite franchises: Wii, Metal Slug, Streets of Rage, Tekken, Colin McRae Rally, Fantavision, Aleste, Fatal Fury, Super Sidekicks, Crazy Taxi
NOTE: My wishlist solely consists of games that I want to get around to completing, not games that I don't own yet.

I also like Daioujou a lot (I've sort of worn it out at this point but looking forward to the M2 port and anything new M2 does with it) and the Mushi games have grown on me. Initially they didn't stand out as much without a system like Espgaluda's slow-mo or Guwange's spirit, but Cave excels at the simple fun of fluid bullet dodging, too, and the Mushi games perhaps exemplify that the most. On this playthrough, Futari has grown on me -- I hadn't given the Maniac mode much time before.
I'll do a current ranking of all the games in the next month or so.
I see you are a big fan of Wii Sports! That game never clicked with me (I assumed Resort was stronger but maybe not?) but I still see people mention it positively today while later Nintendo 'hardware showcase' games (Nintendo Land and 1-2-Switch) never get mentioned, so there must be some longevity there that I failed to appreciate.
