heh

i'll need to take another run through it someday to go the evil route and get the trophies...but ugh...that first playthrough was almost torture at times. Something about literally repeating the same things on 3 different islands just didn't do it for me. not to mention the continuous backtracking between islands

I'm not even halfway for adding all of my titles. What's worse is I don't remember barely any of my SNES or NES titles that I use to play. I'll see if I can't remember some of my Game Gear ones though =D.

Massive amounts of enemies has been Resistance through and through. Even the first one was prone to overwhelming odds. Other than that I tend to agree with you. The AI is a pain in the ass, every enemy seems to rush at you with no regards to it's own safety (this makes sense for the swarming enemies, but shouldn't occur with EVERY one). The rushing also makes dealing with certain enemies frustrating, especially when on the harder difficulties and you get rushed by the big-ish ones. I found a few sections I had to do over and over because of situations like that on Superhuman.

Furies... I whole heartedly agree here though. Perhaps the stupidest idea any FPS developer has had for years.

Still though, I don't feel that these shortcomings are enough to toss the game aside. As an FPS it is solid. It pales in comparison to the juggernauts of the genre, but I don't see it qualifying as the worst FPS of the year either.

I didn't think it was THAT bad.... It felt mediocre to me, it failed to stand out when compared to just about any other shooter, especially RFOM.

I wouldn't get your hopes too far up about Resistance 2. The entire single player experience doesn't hold a candle to the first. Then again if you didn't like the first you could conceivably enjoy the second more. I'll just say I didn't like the sequel because I was comparing it to numerous things that I felt the first did so well.

I can't really speak for the multiplayer....
