Okay, I take my ratings waaaay too seriously, and I changed it and want to tell myself why.
So I moved alot of my ratings down. It feels like I'm being harsh, but...
I realized I didn't have any 1-star games, while I had tons of 3 and 4-star games. I don't really keep games I really dislike. Even the worst games here, I like some parts of, no matter how miniscule. So I decided to make 2-star the rating for average games (games I liked, mostly), where it would have been 3-star before. 1-star is games I don't really like, but have some redeeming values that keep them in my collection. And there is a secret 0-star rating for games I don't keep and I think really are worthless. This gives me room to differentiate between tiers of games I think are above average, but not perfect, like I think the more objective 5-stars should be.
This all started because I was trying to rate the Kingdom Hearts games. I like the original best, but it's no Shadow Hearts Covenant, or Shadow of the Colossus. At the same, I dislike the sequel, although there were still good parts (Beast's Castle). And then there are the other Kingdom Hearts games which should fall somewhere imbetween, and there needed to be that imbetween place to put them.
