Unfortunately, Kurogane was the only among the father figures of the Origins that was a complete and absolute bastard. He never thought of Tyria as his daughter, but as a simple experiment for him to get recognition.

Well, all of that will get its corresponding explanation once you get to Phase 2 (and the alternate personalities all get addressed a little after the beginning of Phase 4).
