Pangya! and Boom Blox are on top of the wish list, but having bought six games within the last three weeks (edit: and something like fifteen within the last couple months), I'm having some buyer's remorse.

Pangya has an advantage over the other golf games I own in having really cute characters, and tons of costumes, as well as being portable, so there's little doubt it'll hit the Backloggery soon.

I gave Sonic the Hedgehog a try today. I probably got about as far as you did--some ways through the first level, but not finishing it because of a game over.

I've played bits and pieces of the Sonic Adventure games, and this one isn't that much different. Pathetic storyline, boring central hub, character control that's a uniquely annoying combination of imprecise and on-rails, those things all existed in the DC/GC versions as well. This PS3 version also uses the Havok engine, which in my experience means that interactive/breakable objects bounce around like they're on the moon.

I noticed in passing that you can save anywhere, but I didn't bother to do it since this was only a test run. It would indeed be obnoxious if it didn't register a save unless you completed a level. The quest where you receive the shoes isn't fascinating enough to justify playing through it more than once. I'll give it a try later on and see what happens!

Thanks for the advice with BioShock; I plan on starting it after I beat Majora's Mask. And good luck with your backlog! It looks like it needs a lot of work.
