☆☆★★★ Some of the best pixel art I've seen in games. There's something about 2D metroidvanias and always having frustrating enemies. Sure, the challenge is nice, but my god this game is punishing. Characters constantly speak in riddles, which is probably thematic with all the religious themes, but it really drained my interest in understanding what the fuck is happening in this game.

☆★★★★ Visually gorgeous. I'm no big Spider-Man fan, but there's really nothing quite like web-swinging in other open world games, traversal is super smooth. The gadgets and upgrades are fun. The open world activities are hit-or-miss, everything boils down to either being a combat encounter, web-swinging challenge, or one of the braindead easy puzzles. Combat can be fun to experiment with, but there is no incentive to really do so. The story is standard superhero fare.
