Honestly all the issues you just mentioned wouldn't even be there if they had patched the game multiple times BEFORE releasing it. Not like someone forced them to release it so soon. Especially since Legends Arceus was keeping plenty of people busy. As for the Pokemon, I checked a lot of them using Showdown and they look decent-ish. Some of them look cool (like Primeape's evolution) but a lot of them looked... disappointing considering how Pokemon used to be in previous gens, like you said. But I mean, if I was constantly facing framerate issues and what not, I would probably not be having a very good time. I do not actually plan on getting it. Not for a few years anyway. I would rather have Game Freak take a long time to make a good game than taking less time to make a game like it's just an early version and then patch it. Quality over quantity for me.

I'm doing alright too! I saw you beat Pokemon Violet and I've been seeing some very mixed opinions on it. Some people enjoy it while others hate it. Personally I have not played the game. How do you like the new Pokemon? Have you caught all of the available ones and if not, do you ever plan to? It's always interesting to hear what other people think about the newer Pokemon games. Ever since Black & White, the games have been very mixed.

Just for you I'll push em up in the priority (or just take it with me). I have heard the version of YOTD ain't too hot so I might have to look into playing the ps1 version or just gritting my teeth and dealing with bugs (certainly wouldn't be the first time).

Check the in game shop; there is an option in there to buy her for fight money (like 100,000 so unlikely you have it) and an option to buy her plus battle costume which should let you just buy her solo for dollarydoos. I wanted to play Oro as well so I just shelled the cash out and bit the bullet.
