Its my first Telltale game I've played and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've got the Walking Dead and Enemy Within titles as well but I haven't started them yet. Trying not to juggle too many games at once so I don't upset my gaming ADD

Well, is not the best of the bunch for sure (is the only one I dropped back then), but if you are a fan of the Castlevania-Metroidvanias and didn't play one in a while, it worth your time.

To get the real extent of this nightmare you have to play it. It's an adventure/RPG/Dating-Sim(!) starring Tingle with a story that follows a fucked up version of the Wizard of OZ. Tingle is technically Dorothy who lives in the modern world, is a 35 year old virgin and gets sucked into a magic book on the quest to find real love following a yellow brick road. Oh, and by the way, if you love filing legal documents, the 10th chapter will be a blast for you.

How did I not see your three months ago comment until now?

I could write a LOT but: patches and DLC significantly improved Mafia III. I liked it more than most people to begin with, I'll admit; but I would consider the original reviews outdated.

Not copy protection, just edification. So nice to be reading a manual again (even if it's a PDF), instead of a single page with a URL on it. Those were the days.

I thought Hydlide was a decent game. It's sadly misunderstood and maligned in the post-AVGN world*. Just thought I'd throw that out there. You're free to dislike the game.

* I'm sure it was already maligned even before AVGN.

When you put it like that....

Disco Elysium really grabbed me, I'd say it is one of my favorite games of all time. I ended up dedicating my entire weekend to the game. So put in 28 hours over 3 days, which yeah, is a little much.

Hah, I'm going for some gaming equivalent of comfort food. Some old favorites that I know I'll enjoy. Definitely moving on to NOLF 2 next, I'd like to compare the two side-to-side.

Thanks for bumping my backlog with a new message. I've only gotten back to updating it recently. Hard to believe we've been updating this thing for over a decade, right? And Full Metal Furies makes much more sense once you start playing and realize it is based on Greek mythology and the 4 playable characters are the Erinyes.

I've finished the game a few years ago, before I had a backloggery account and I remember, that this scene gave me a weird feeling that no other game ever repeated. Killer 7 is really something completely unique in gameplay and subject matter. Even the other games from Suda51, most of which i've played or replayed in the last few months, can't compare to it.

Before you play TSA I would recommend that you play at least through "The Silver Case", so you get an understanding of the themes from the "Kill the Past - Games". Like I said in my last post, TSA is a game about Suda's and Grasshopper Manufactures history as creators, so it is mainly for fans. And with fans I'm not talking about blind fanboys/girls who would buy any Suda Game and claim its great no matter what, I'm talking about people who would care about an introspection into the ups and downs of game-making for specifically that company/game designer. Otherwise the game could feel like a random assortment of references and weird circumstances.

Of course I don't want to do any gatekeeping and you don't have to write a dissertation on the guy to enjoy the game. Just a little advice to avoid disappointment.

I did like Travis Strikes Again, but I don't know if I would recommend it. I like Gauntlet, so I didn't have a problem with TSA's gameplay, besides, the older No More Heroes Games had pretty repetitive gameplay as well.
When it comes to the Story, the game relies on quite a few references to Suda51's older titles, so you better know them, or you are left wondering who all those characters are, that show up constantly in the visual novel sections of the game.
There is a strong theme of family throughout the game and it seems to be a pretty personal trip through Suda's history as a creator ( there is even a reference to the Manga "Kurayami Dance" which he wrote ).
I never asked for a No More Heroes 3, since I think Travis Story was pretty much concluded, but I wanted a new game directed by Suda, which is what I got. Hopefully Grasshopper Manufacture will not abandon the Switch due to the games bad reception.
If you are on the fence, if you should buy it, then maybe wait for a price drop. To me, it was worth the 40 Euro that I payed ( retail copy with dlc ), but i'd say that 20 Euro or Dollar might be more acceptable. It might take 10 hours for a casual playthrough, or 15-20 if you want to get everything and beat it on the highest difficulty.

It is my first time with PoP 2008. While I like the characters and the movement sections, I think the fights are a bit too long and boring. I just fought the concubine 5 times and now it seems like I have to fight just as often in every other area of the game. I would have probably already beaten the game, if it was only running and jumping, but the fighting drains my motivation a bit.
