Seems like the only way to beat this game. Restart it, work out a schedule on how many hours per day you're going to play the game this time and literally force yourself to play the game until you finish it. Even if it means you have to duct-tape your ass onto your gaming seat, don't stand up until you've done your daily dose of Metroid Prime or else the game will beat you :D

The only sad thing is that it's such a huge game. It could easily take up to 20 hours to beat it, and if you finally manage to do so, there's still 2 more Metroid Prime games out there which probably need the same treatment.

I recently tried to finish Metroid Prime, but then I realised I can't remember what I was supposed to do, so I just had to start all over again, for the 6th or 7th time. Can't tell you how much I hate the backtracking in this game, I bought the Gamecube version twice and couldn't beat it, now I'm sitting here with the Wii trilogy and still can't see how I'm ever supposed to beat that one as well. This game really appeals to my patience.

I wish you good luck though, hopefully you can do what I never could
