Oh! Also another game I always talk about with a friend but can never start is Girls Frontline. Do you know this one? I really like it because the fan-art mostly is always really pretty, and the concept is interesting to me. But I don't speak a lick of Chinese.

I wish they had English servers, but I get the feeling if they had an English version they would get copyright lawsuits left and right by all the weapons manufactures...

Yeah, Semiramis is a weird case indeed. I keep seeing her recur in extra materials and other Fate merchandise... Fanart as well, but still no big showing. And I agree about Nightingale as well. The fan-art is amazing but the in-game art is a letdown. I feel this is true for Attila/Altera as well. Huke's designs feel so out of place when not surrounded by other Huke designs. (So it's a case where I still love Attila but I I prefer her drawn by anyone other than Huke lol, like the Extella version is great! And fanart too.)

I do like Jeanne and Jeanne alter, but I don't consider them new entries since they appeared in Fate/Zero and extra materials long before FGO. Scathach is just another big-booby pretty girl who everyone was going to faun over regardless. It's not that I don't like her, I think I'm just tired of those types lol. I also can't pronounce her name to save my life, so thank goodness for the Katakana butchering of it.

I got the limited edition of Fate/Extella and I opened it up but haven't had the chance to play it yet! Soon, I really hope. I gotta get this Skyrim plat and really kick my butt in gear cuz the backlog just keeps getting bigger at this rate PS4 titles are coming out. NieR Automata is soon too! Tbh, I'm prolly gonna drop everything to beat NieR Automata ASAP.

Mhm, yup that's why I resist starting them up. I know how they work, the psychology behind it is pretty manipulative but smart. I'm just glad I know enough about myself to know I'd be in trouble lol.

What are your favorite F/GO characters? My favorite new characters to the series are probably, Artoria Lancer, Attila/Altera, Saber of Red (Mordred), Assassin of Red (Semiramis), Florence Nightingale, Hassan of Serenity, and finally Demon Archer Oda Nobunaga. Great designs.

I don't really watch much anime these days, if I'm not playing games, I'm reading manga instead. for my Fate itch I'm hoping Fate/Extella will tide me over, and like I said, Platinum games is making a AAA Granblue Action/RPG.

So what's mobile games hell like? A friend and I, we like have all the F/GO material books and stay up-to-date with the culture of it but, the reason we don't play is specifically to avoid being addicted to it lol. Like I know for me at least, I 'm not strong enough to avoid bankrupting myself on microtransactions and stuff if I installed it. ... And like all my other hobbies would fall away.

The other mobile game I am interested in is Granblue Fantasy, but now that Platinum games is making an AAA RPG and it's getting like anime/manga adaptations, I am hoping I can sate my curiosity with those. My HTC One is on it's last legs anyway, I need a new android before I could do any serious gaming on them. But I must resist.

From what I’ve heard, the S;G anime follows the True Ending route of the VN pretty much to a tee, which is why I’m hesitant to try the VN itself, since I know how it ends. I know VN’s are supposed to have more depth and character development and everything, it’s just a lot of time commitment for something when I already know what happens.

Hell yeah, SC had a great ending! Was sad to see Loewe go, but in fairness, it was pretty much inevitable. I doubt there would have been the same lenience in sentencing that Richard had, so at least there was some sense of redemption. And besides, from what I’ve seen, it’s not like the whole death thing stuck anyway...

I’m actually more interested in The 3rd now then I ever was before, mostly because I thought Kevin was a really interesting character, especially given his role in the ending, that magnificent bastard. Seems like you might have stopped Zero a bit too soon though - one of the few things I know about it is that apparently Estelle & Joshua join up by the endgame. As for the series as a whole though, I can’t really say - I just started Cold Steel, which has been pretty good so far, but it’s too early to judge. I know I didn’t really enjoy the first few entries in the series before TitS, but I guess those were made in the early 90’s anyway. But it seems like despite some minimal overlap, the series is pretty loosely connected overall, so you can pretty much start or stop whenever you want!
