Yeah, in all honesty, you usually don't need them out, unless you need to use one to heal or something. Your MC + Heroine is enough to farm in most areas if you do it right, and the mag-step thing can really wipe you out fast.

If it helps any: Don't worry too much about demons in SMT I, mainly they're used to compliment what you don't have from characters, usually extra healing. Your human characters are far more useful, especially when you get AOE guns + status effect bullets. I found them most useful when I recruited the most annoying enemies, so I could get out of fights with them by talking to them. That's how I got through the entire last dungeon with its petrification enemies >.>

Gambits are easy once you get used to several major facts

A: If you tell people to use an item to cure something, and they don't have that disease aka poison, they won't use the item. So you can set 'ally: any' = 'echo herbs', they'll only use them if someone gets silenced.

B: Don't forget priorities, target: attack will happen always in combat, so anything you want to happen not in combat, buffs and the like, should go below it. Anything you want to happen in combat over attacking should go above it.

C: Its usually best to have your leader target nearby or something like that, and then have the other characters attack 'leaders target', so you don't have them spazzing out on other targets.

It is, now my regret is that I really have no reason to go back and play it...so bugging my wife to play it instead (muahahah)

The edge thing is always a problem in Bastion =/ It's so-so action, typical of a lot of indies, but the dialogue makes you feel like you're listening to an old western.

Heh, I'll have to wait on that for a bit though, the story mode is so text heavy I have to be in the right mood to sit through it.

Yeah, Raidou 1 and 2 are heavy on the movement in battle, and it gets a little dull fight after fight with a limited moveset. Nocturne is still my alltime favorite rpg, hopefully you can settle and actually play it.

Oooh, first Raidou game? Brings me back. Be fair warned, if you want to complete it, the extra dungeon gets brutal with very long fights.

Actually beat Grim Grimoire? Grats, I keep playing it, stopping, and restarting :P
