Sometimes you want an easy game to play. I know I do after a hard day at work. ToS fit that bill--plus I think it's pretty fun. I'm hoping to find a copy of SoA somewhere so I can play that.

I see you beat ToS. So? What did you think? I've had two endings so far. But, God, I wish I could get Collette away from Lloyd....

I'm really enjoying ToS. I have no problem with the music--since I turned it down in options...

Haha, I like the Sega Master System theme going on here. It's a beauty. Also, you should beat Phantasy Star someday. You owe it to yourself.

Same for me and Xenosaga III :s I'm not particularly engaged by it, but it has so much visual flair that it feels like it'd be a waste to not continue. That and I want to see if chaos ever reaches his ephemeral awesomeness a la Episode 1.

My god... It's full of stars

I've seen gameplay videos of all the levels before as well but due to the related videos I now know of the existence of double play. Double play. DOUBLE PLAY.

Something integral to my perception of reality just melted.

Oh, I've seen videos of the game played in its entirety. The final chapter is the one that absolutely just blows my mind. You know how you play a game and you KNOW it's not real and you shouldn't be scared of it because it doesn't exist? I am scared of that boss from watching the videos. [Link]

In the GC version, you just have to put in a certain amount of playtime. Your credits gradually increase until they become unlimited. It also has a demo mode where you are shown how to play the game, section by section, and a practice mode that you can choose to undertake whatever area you've reached without expending a continue but IN SLOW MOTION.

Chapter 4 is absolutely impossible. Scientific fact. The level itself has nothing on the boss which the English language does not have a word to describe. Look it up on youtube, your jaw will drop.

I don't know how to unlock unlimited credits in Ikaruga. Even playing through on Easy I've never been past Chapter 4 "Reality". Then again, I'm a fucking old geezer and my arthritis is probably kicking in right about now.

LOL that bad huh, alright thanks for the heads up on SoV. I've checked out Oasis before and seemed pretty fun but like you said, a bit on a stiff side.

Tails - I put my code up in the AW:DoR thread at GF. Got yours out of the wiki. Haven't been online with the game yet, but something tells me I'm doomed.

Philia - Beyond Oasis, from what I remember, is a decent title. The combat is maybe a little stiff but there were some interesting puzzles going on. Sword of Vermilion makes me want to spit and I can only say I've beaten it because I'd play anything rpg that made its way onto the Sega Channel.

I know exactly the one you're talking about, but not the name of it. Never have come across any music from the game. It's hard to believe that Rayman is this old, but I think I completed it way back while I was something like 13 or 14 years old. I was better at games back then. Between then and now, the game was sold a long time ago and recently found again for super cheap. I play it now and think, holy god, how did I do that. This game is kinda hard. Same with R-Type. I don't think I could complete it again on VC but way back before I was in preschool and played it every day on the SMS, I had a really good run once and made it through all eight levels somehow.

Ooh another buddy! :adds

Nifty theme btw! And I like your footer message.

Edit: Wow... Rayman. You fucking completed Rayman. Respect+++++ That game was insane. I REALLY loved that music level. Do you happen to know the music track name of it?
