Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Poisoned: 3+ new games in a row
My favorite is DKC 1. I think the music and atmosphere are the best of the original trilogy. Maybe the gameplay isn't as refined, but I don't think it needs to be. I suppose nostalgia factors into as well, because it was my favorite when I was younger, but I really do think it's the most appealing to me on the whole either way.

As for beating games, don't let this number fool you. I had over 630 games on Steam alone until I deleted stuff I would never play again, like stuff from bundles. I also will remove a game on Backloggery and list it again if I beat it. Basically, I try not to clog my page too much and that's why it looks like I'm doing so well in that regard.

Hi there. Found you randomly and I just have to add someone who seems to love the DKC trilogy as much as I do.

Backlog Beaten: September 9, 2020
Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
On Fire: 3 beat or complete in a row
Focus: Only playing one game
I wish I could be a good role model for people trying to beat their backlog; however, my way of doing it really wouldn't help anybody, at all.

I spent far too much time procrastinating on some games that I became bored with (it took me just over five years to finish Tales of Phantasia, as a particularly egregious example). I tend to be a completionist, so I chased after a bunch of platinum trophies on PS3/4 games after beating them when I should've been retiring them and starting on something new. I can be easily distracted at times, so if a fan translation of a Famicom/SFC RPG came out I'd just drop whatever I was playing to go try it out. The saving grace was that I never bought anything digitally until very recently, so I didn't have most people's Achilles' heel: Buying a pile of games on sale from Steam, PSN, or Humble Bundle with no realistic chance of ever getting to them all.

So refrain from buying any new games and don't be like me in those other ways?
