Okay. If you like the psx's Vandal Hearts, you may like this one as is for being the prequel to what you're playing right now (plot-wise) and its refreshing too since it probably been a decade since anyone saw the series last. I must warn you though, that price isn't low without a reason. The game is short (think under 20 battles) and the art for cutscenes is laughable. However, I like it for a brief respite from everything else I had been playing thus far. Easy tactics and nice to just blow through for a day. (10 hours at least)

Vandal Hearts II is an entire different thing altogether from these two. The major difference is that the enemies move at the same time as you. Not by step by step turns. I mean literally moving at the same time as you move.

There's a few things I could give you as advice for this. Consider the old rulebook they (enemies) go by in the series.

1. If that character is the closest, attack.
If not, move closer.
2. If character is weaker (ie low hp/def/equipped with weapon that doesn't allow counter) than the other nearby (or at the same distance), attack that weak character.
3. If close enough, attack from behind. (IMPORTANT)

That's it. Set up your party in a BAIT style fashion and KNOW when your characters' turns are to prepare a nice attack/dodge.

I love Death Note and I read comics as well right I'm heavily intersted in Blackest Night (Lex Luthor with Yellow Lantern ring......sweet)
