Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Yeah, I would agree with that. Granted, I didn't know Final Fantasy games were divisive until I discovered the internet. For Final Fantasy X, there are a few issues that aren't aging that well that is making the game more divisive. The fixed camera, voice acting and Blitzball are people's real problems. None of those are too game breaking, so I don't know what the big deal is. Though, it is hard to defend against people's hatred of Tidus.

I don't own anything beyond a PS2. I don't have a PS3 or PS4, but I had to preorder the Final Fantasy X Remaster on the PS3. I thought long and hard about buying a PS3 just to play the Remaster. So, even though I do not have a system yet, the Remaster is currently sitting in my closet. Maybe one day I will get around to playing it, but I really want to. The expert Sphere Grid and the Dark Aeons are just so tempting!

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
So, Final Fantasy X is tied for my favorite video game of all time. The original Legend of Zelda ruled my childhood, but Final Fantasy X is what got me back into video games. It turned me into the gamer that I am today and made me fall in love with the franchise. It is my 'home' and every part of the game is special to me.

Honestly, I would say EVERY Final Fantasy game is divisive. I cannot think of one Final Fantasy game that is universally loved. Though, I would say the XIII series wasn't as loved as other games in the series.

Also, I know Final Fantasy X has its faults. The voice acting has not aged all that well. Tidus can become very grating. And once you break the Sphere Grid, your characters become carbon copies of each other. And Blitzball isn't all that fun after a while. I haven't played any of the remakes, so I don't know any of those. I'm only talking about the original PS2 release.

Personally, any time of year is a good time to play Final Fantasy X. I could play that game and just loose weeks of my life and not regret it one bit. It is such an addictive battle system, the Sphere Grid is amazing and each set piece in the game is astounding. If want to play a good Final Fantasy game or a good JRPG, you cannot go wrong with Final Fantasy X.

Thinking a lot on Final Fantasy X, due to honestly wanting to replay the game again with the updated content that is available for the US since the HD Version. Thinking of getting it on Steam or PS4, depends if I want it really soon then on Steam.

Very curious if anyone feels of how special Final Fantasy X really is as a game let alone a Final Fantasy Game. It isn't a perfect video game, but I feel like this is the last commonly appreciated Final Fantasy Game in my opinion. Since Final Fantasy XI and onwards it feels that each main Final Fantasy Game is rather panned and not as loved when compared to Final Fantasy X's initial release and it's future re-releases.

To be honest, when I was first playing Final Fantasy XV (it's original release on Xbox One) I thought of Final Fantasy X a lot. But, for a lot of different reasons. Final Fantasy XV I was rather disappointed by it's initial release, the fact they had to do so many patches within the game to add additional cutscenes and to fix issues that were not just performance issues said a lot about the game to me. To me, there was no excuse for Final Fantasy XV release to be like that at all. Was so cheaply made that even looking past the graphics and the fluff, I thought of my entire experience of Final Fantasy X.

The set up was nearly exactly the same, seeing a brand new adventure for Final Fantasy not just by it's story but by the changes they had made for what's to come for the entire Final Fantasy Franchise as a whole with this new hardware in mind. I was scared, even at 10 Years old wondering how can SquareSoft really change my Final Fantasy like this on me. However, as I played the game to the point of beating it I knew one thing. This is the future of gaming right there with Final Fantasy X! Yet, in 2018 I still see video games giving me that glimmer of hope for change for the better not only for enjoyment, but for the industry as a whole.
