Yeah, yeah, I figured someone would give me grief about the name sooner or later...

To be honest, I enjoyed both the first game and the sequel so far. ^^ I like the old characters, they can be very silly at times, but they're charming and really grew on me. It's great to see them again in the sequel. The newer characters can be more of an acquired taste, but I think their flaws make them more realistic and entertaining. I think the sequel was somewhat funnier, but maybe that's just because they dubbed more of the voice skits.

The gameplay's actually pretty good! It's a lot less mindless than I thought it was gonna be. The story's okay but the characters are all complete idiots. Everyone does the "oh it's nothing" schtick like 20 times throughout the course of the game, particularly Raine. That gets pretty annoying.

But despite that, Marta and I had a decently fun time with it and we were looking into the direct sequel and maybe another Tales game after that. Abyss seems to be the next most popular choice.
