Just a wanderer passing though here. I see your goals for the year and I can relate. I make those sorts of goals every year and never do as well as I'd like.

Not having steam and gog notify me of sales seems to help. Letting myself hyper fixate on whatever I'm playing, and not worrying about how long I spend on one game has also been nice. Let me know any other tips if you've got them lol.

Hopefully this year we can both attain our goals.

I guess the most important thing is always to focus and not get too distracted by the new goodies. I always try to remember, that we live in an age of remakes, re-releases and collections. If I don't get a game now, it is highly likely that it will be re-released at some point for a lot less money and probably with all the extra DLC and what-not that you typically have to pay for extra instead.

Everything gets cheaper and cheaper these days.

Except Nintendo games. But that's a different story...

I usually don't use save state, but I really, really had to for that water temple stage, it really was ridiculous on top of the bell fight with enemies literally randomly spawning, it was incredibly unreasonable

Now I'm stuck again at the ice stage with a tiny platform that gives you no way to move properly on the front and expecting you to slide out

No worries, thanks for the reply even if it is late. Maybe it is better even, because of the relative distance you have to the game now.

I really hope I can make some time to play the Fire Emblem seriously soon. But my Backlog... ugh... so big! Anyways, I have the link you gave me, so if I can, I will get to it! =)
