For a no bs reply? Shenmue (at least these days) is very much an acquired taste. It's not really something I'd recommend to many unless they were there for it at release. There are so many titles now that do (and better) what Shenmue was attempting, and I'd be hard pressed to suggest it to someone without them being able to accurately view it through the "I was there" lens of nostalgia.

Although I have unfortunately never played Harvest Moon 64, as I have played several Story of Seasons games, they don't compare, as they are very different games. Rune Factory 3 Special is a farming sim action RPG hybrid, and to complete the story and thus,, be able to get married, one has to partake of the combat aspects. If you are intereste in trying out the series, Rune Factory 3 Special or Rune Factory 4 Special are both good entry points (I say this having played almost every game in the series, except for Tides of Destiny, and having played Rune Factory 3 and 4 twice).

Apologies for the lateness.
I have absolutely no idea, I've never launched either of the 3.

Hi VidKid oohhh the first persona game on PS1? I played the PSP re-release a long time ago and yeah I enjoyed it although not as much as the later entries in the series.
Oh I see you're playing Thousand Arms on PS any good? Need to get round to that myself

Haha slow down there!

Does-not-own =/= did not ever I am hardly young, and had an SNES when I was a kid. I can well & truly say that I got to experience most of what it had to offer during its heyday of relevancy! I don't own one these days simply because, outside of a very few outliers, there just isn't much that I feel the need to revisit. PS1 is a similar story.. I'm intimately familiar with the library due to having grown up with it from release. In my adulthood, I've been more focused on new paths. The stuff I DIDN'T get to see or play as a kid, thus the bulk of my gaming library today consists of things that I never had the chance to own when younger and are new experiences for me. The N64 is a different story, as there just wasn't really anything there that ever truly captured my interest when it was live. The N64 service on the Switch these days is more than sufficient to satisfy what little curiosity I might have ever had regarding the platform.

As far as the original Pokemon goes, I still own my copy of Yellow from release! I'd hardly call myself a fan of the series though, and never really bothered much with the later entries.

The Dreamcast's RPG lineup is admittedly quite small, though there are still quite a few more than most in the West give it credit for. The primary wall is, as usual, the language barrier for many of them. But! From my library: Black/Matrix AD, Chō Hatsumei Boy, Lodoss-Tō Senki, Rune Jade, and Sorcerian are some of the standouts on the platform as RPGs that many haven't played (or even heard of).

Dragon Quest is (and always will be!) a particular love of mine. I've been enamored of the series ever since little me first received his free NES copy of DQ1 from a Nintendo Power sub back in the day, and I've played all of the mainline games that were released on consoles. The DS releases are the only ones I've missed out on, as I never owned a system due to lack of interest in most handhelds. I'm hoping they eventually receive a Switch port or something one day.

Capcom vs. SNK are absolutely worth your time, and are some of the best 2D fighters ever made. SNK vs. Capcom on the Neo is somewhat less so, though it nonetheless has its unique charms. CvS2 on the Dreamcast is quite possibly THE best 2D fighter to date in my opinion. Easily on the short list of recommended plays!

Haha. Shin Nihon Kikaku = SNK. They were Capcom's biggest rival in the arcade years, and are so very much worth checking out

Journey is pretty good, sadly you might not encounter anyone in your playthrough, but its very much worth experiencing solo, its only about an hour but you can spend more time collecting some stuff.
