Backlog Day!

Just a warning that Smash Bros is coming out soon. I expect to lose a couple hundred hours myself.

Hurray! My Backloggiverssary! With an increased income and an unholy addiction to Dota 2, I think my stats have gotten a little bit worse. For some time, I focused on only buying a game if I finished 3 old ones...But that didn't last long.

Let's hope this year's a little bit more productive

It's quite interesting. The battle system has some interesting concepts such as facing and positioning, which is something that I've been wondering when it's going to leave Strategy RPGs and enter a more traditional battle system. Also, there's a fair bit of customising when coming to party members due to the amount of children on the field and the many classes they can become.

There's some dating sim elements as well, also I feel like I romance whoever I want without conflict and get away with it (story pertaining). There's nothing really un-tasteful about the "sexual" nature of the game, it's more tongue-in-cheek with the story, which is quite interesting really. The most pornographic thing you'll see is "holding hands", if that's your thing.

However I've found when trying to do all the side content on top of the main story as well, it feels a bit of a grind. Given that to begin with your children have low maximum levels, when they reach max they can be "retired" to build up your base and as your relationship builds with the girls, they have higher max levels. This can go on, but I don't mind seeing I could spend months playing Disgaea. No where near as min-max prone as Disgaea, but there's plenty of content.

A demo is available for both platforms, and you get extra content if you load in your save. It's a good 1-2 hours and it'll give you enough of taste to see if it's worth buying.

TL;DR: Try the demo. Plenty of content and interesting combat + great music if you like Persona 3/4.
