Very nice. I have followed a streamer that goes by the name grannen_hiro as he beat 500 Game Boy Games during the last 6 years. There is some really challenging ones in the library.

Really fun Game Boy project you are doing. Are you planning to play and beat every game?

After 10 years on backloggery, I've decided to do a journey to the beginnings of my gaming experience. Since the Gameboy was my first device that could run video games, I want to explore the large catalogue of titles that came out on the classic grey brick. While I'm trying to complete those games that have an actual ending, I want to at least try the games, that have no clear win state.

So I will go through them in somewhat chronological order (I go by the order of Jeremy Parish's Gameboy Works Videos), beginning with Super Mario Land and Alleyway and the other western launch titles. The games with no win state will be added to the backlog, but their status will be counted as "null" with a personal high score attached (if a score is kept in the game). Japanese Games with a huge language barrier will be excluded, as well as majong and pachinko games.

I will use a mix of original hardware, 3DS Virtual Console, Nintendo Switch Online and other forms of emulation to get my hands on the games.

Let's see how far I will go with this!

Das Balancing des ganzen Spiels, gerade der Jobs und Fähigkeiten, ist nicht gerade ausgereift. So bin ich im 2. von 7 Kapiteln schon auf Level 70, ohne das ich viel gegrindet hätte. Außerdem bekommen der Freiberufler und der Bestienbändiger geradezu absurde Statusbuffs durch ihre jeweilige Spezialfähigkeit, so dass man eigentlich nie einen anderen Job benutzen muss.
Das Übelste ist wohl der Supertempo-Schlag des Diebs. Er zählt die physische Angriffskraft und das Tempo zusammen und greift zweimal an. Das bedeutet schon jetzt bei mir zweimal 9999 Schaden. Das heißt, dass vier Charaktere, die den Angriff je viermal einsetzten, rund 320.000 Schaden machen. Selbst der letzte Boss ist wohl schon nach einer Runde Geschichte...

Oh no it made perfect sense to me. Its one of the reasons I tend to overgrind in games even still, it's really easy to just zen out while you're playing.

FF2 was my second final fantasy, on the GBA collection. It kind of set the mood for modern FF changing up their gameplay almost every installment to me so it wasn't a huge shock, if a little difficult to adjust to after 1.
I couldn't finish FF2 ADV's bonus content without an action replay though.

Out of curiosity, what do you think of FF2?? it's a personal favorite of mine, but the mechanics are a little... odd especially if you have experience in the rest of the series
