I used to play it and Last Window once, sometimes twice a year! 2021 was my first time touching them in years, and they were actually my favorite runs through each game since they were new. I might pass on Last Window for now, but I'm excited for yet another stay at Hotel Dusk.

Haha yeah, they let you customize each character individually which is actually super awesome. Most devs wouldn't think of something like that.

My dude, I think you might have either accidentally turned on auto mode or accidentally remapped buttons before you started playing DMC5. Both Dante and Nero have sword on triangle and gun on square by default.

Just saw your comment a few minutes ago lol, sorry for the late reply. Seems like you already have Lindow back. But for shields and guns, I always just used a tower shield because I hate blocking in God Eater so I just went for what had the highest defense. If you can get the skill that makes it so you automatically recover HP during burst (forget the name of it) you can just eat every attack and heal back to full nearly instantly.

For guns based on everything I read blast is the best in God Eater 2 but I actually did not use guns that often because I prefer melee and blood arts make melee somewhat viable. It's still not as good as just using a gun with an overpowered bullet recipe, but, it's better than the first game where they just completely outclass melee. I actually made it to the very end of the game using some low rank sniper rifle I never upgraded other than putting skills on it to buff up my blood art damage.

Good question. It's definitely above average but hasn't quite left me with the "greatest ever" kind of impression that the original Xenoblade did. But as a game I'd say it's fairly even with what Xenoblade set out to do. There's just a few things like line delivery and the Blades being tied to chance that detract from the experience a bit.

Overall the story was a good one. I feel like I spent the first four chapters groaning about every modern anime trope I saw, but by five I got used to them and the game started to tone down the comedy elements. Not as consistently solid as I'd have liked, but it kinda makes up for it by having a lot of big moments that are really enthralling to watch. It had its fair share of unexpected twists towards the end too so it's nice that the game's plot wasn't as obvious as I thought it would be.

If I had to rate it I'd give it about an 8/10. Solid game with a lot to do that visually looks great. Your mileage will vary depending on your tolerance for anime, though.

Ya, I try really hard not to look things up the first time I play a game. I figured out the clue about having to do something in the presents, there was also a clue about following 'The Golden Light to the north-west' even though the island you needed to go to was pretty much due west. Still, at least there were clues. I feel like some of my problem is that I also tend to put this game down for months at a time so I don't remember little details, like the dig site...

Hi. I just finished Berseria, enjoyed the game overall. The world and dungeons were quite bland and boring, i hope the next game is much better and built on a new engine for ps4.
I love the party, i think it might be my favourite in the entire series, they just work really well with each other.
As a whole i don't really love the plots in the tales series, it feels like it could be better, where the series excels is in character interaction via the skits. It's my 3rd favourite jrpg series after Persona and FF. Anyways that's my thoughts. Yakuza is one of my favourite series ever.

I added you too btw.

Yeah I've been hearing about some of the nutty things that game had going on in the initial version. I'm a little sad I miss out on some of it, but I guess that's what YouTube is for.

So far I'm enjoying myself. The cast feels more like they fit into a Tales of game but the story is good enough and the combat is a lot of fun. More fun than XC1's, I'd say. Looking forward to seeing where things go.

Well, thats nice and all, except for I've played lots and lots of Kirby games and this is the first time I've been even remotely disappointed @u@; Kirby Planet Robobot is my absolute favorite one even, its hardly at all like Triple Deluxe, hehe @u@; you missed out on really the best one if you skipped that one >w< I also like Star Allies better now that I've finished the stuff after the main game, too...it did some cool stuff there >w< Its just got some stuff missing that the other games usually do like EX bosses and such that makes it feel like they maybe kinda rushed this one out...? But its Kirby so I had fun with it and like I said, the extra stuff was fun too >w< Its not so much that it didn't stray far, its more like it went backward and took away some things that I liked >w<

I'm personally less interested in the bulk of what they're offering. I think the surprising part for me was that Mario Tennis Aces actually looks pretty great. I'll definitely need to try out that demo tourney when it comes around.

Other than that I feel like there are a lot of odd choices. Things that I should be hyped about but aren't for one reason or the other. Got some release dates for games I'm interested in at least but otherwise eh. Curious to see which direction Smash is going in though. This feels like it might be Smash 5 (which could be great) rather than the Smash 4 Switch port everyone was expecting (which would be more underwhelming). I'll be keeping my eye on it for sure.

I feel I'm the opposite in that I prefer the map sprites while moving units around. 3D models for units were kinda stiff in the Tellius games from what I recall. But it did allow for interesting things like height advantages when it came to the terrain. So long as they don't mess up the slick animations they've got going as well as the map to battle transitions they've had since Fates I'll probably be good, though.

I don't think we'll see a third Pokken fighter, but we might get to see Blastoise in action. Extra Kingdoms being added to Odyssey seems like a large stretch too. I'd personally love to see a Golden Sun on the Switch though. Partially because I want to see how much of a spectacle everything will become with stronger hardware, mostly because I want them to finish up what they started in Dark Dawn already.

So yeah. Mostly pie in the sky stuff. But hey, maybe they'll surprise us.

Nah, I reckon Dr. Coyle is the last of the fighters. And honestly the game has a pretty good roster and mode selection as is. Not sure what else they could expand it with.

Besides, it's a Nintendo Direct. People going in with expectations will be disappointed by default. Personally not hoping for much, but I'm keeping my eye out for a glimpse at FE16. Probably won't get one, but eh.

Just a shame the two combatants aren't as good. They're both just okay in my books. I must've gotten too used to more mobile fighters in the roster. Which sucks, because I was keen as beans to play Bark & Byte pre-launch. Oh well.

Curious to see how you feel about Zestiria. Playing it right now as well (haven't touched it in a few weeks cause of Monster Hunter but I am close to getting back to it) and it feels very different from other Tales games as far as gameplay goes. Like even something as simple as the combo system (where by default you are stuck to a 4 hit combo) feels like the complete opposite of what I expect from a Tales game.

Yeah I was just thinking the other day that I'd be all for Rabbids making a guest appearance in Mario Kart now. A shame really.

Game itself has been really solid. Decently challenging in these last few worlds and a really fun turn-based strategy in general. Definitely keen to try the DK DLC whenever they release it.

It's something on an ongoing trend really. We have a mini, then a full direct a few weeks later. There's an investor's meeting coming up soon too so it all lines up pretty nicely. I have no real hopes or predictions for what we'll see for the Direct, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a teaser for FE Switch by now. If they're going to announce brand new games (as in ones that aren't ports) for the system it will probably be during the full thing too. At any rate I've still got plenty of games from last year to purchase so I'm in no rush for new announcements at the moment.

Having the complete ARMS experience is pretty nice, though I am a little sad that I missed watching the game grow as it was updated. There's almost too much choice when it comes to fighters too. But having things like the Badges active from the start are nice and I guess I don't have to adjust to balance changes as much. Either way the game is fun and it's always good to have something to itch that fighting game scratch available.
