Well, I always thought of Ridge Racer as a sim racer. Maybe I was wrong. At the very least it doesn't play like what I'm used to in racing games (read: kart racers)

I'm not much into sim racers, but thanks for the reminder I need to go back to Ridge Racer 64 and to try to nab that copy of Ridge Racer DS that was floating around my area.

Director is Nakazato in both, so it's possible. I recognize the name Aki Hata because that same person also helped out with music in Light Crusader.

And it felt like a Treasure game because, in fact, Treasure was formed by ex-Konami employees! In fact, some of the composers for Hard Corps also did music from somma your fave-o Treasure games on MD! Probably for other platforms too. Actually no, the guy who did Final Fantasy Tactics did Radiant Silvergun.

Hard Corps Uprising is pretty close to the same level of Hard Corps madness! It's an off-brand Contra game (it's developed by Arc System Works and it shows), but it's part of the Contra series and it gets pretty crazy intense, especially near the end. Technically it's a prequel to Contra: Hard Corps, but it has very little in common with it and is much less boss battle/setpiece driven.

Blazing Chrome's really great as well.

Huh, interesting! Pikmin 2 has always been my favorite because I loved the caverns. The removal of the time limit gave me time to experiment and come up with strategies for tackling certain enemies. It is definitely a longer game than the first though. Especially if you're going for 100%.

Happy belated Backlogiversary! It takes a lot of commitment to accomplish your goal of beating a game weekly.

Let me know what you think of LEGO 2K Drive, I was interested in it until the words "season pass" and "microtransactions" were mentioned. Maybe I'll get it one day when I get tired (no pun intended) of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
