Hello there,

I'm friends with both Drum and Markies here on the site and I couldn't help but notice your comments about trying to mark board games on here. I will say that under the systems tab when you add a game, there is a miscellaneous tab...so maybe that could be an option for adding your board games?

Just a thought, hope that helps!

Oh, I totally understand what you mean. I would love to use the Backloggery to go after my 'Shelf of Shame' to at least play the games that I have never played before. I know many board games have a digital implementation(i.e. Gloomhaven), especially on Steam, so maybe adding them as Steam games would help too.

An example that I did was create my own Backloggery of Board Games on an Excel Document and just kept that saved. I have ordered my collection, listed Expansions, created a Wishlist and even did the , , & status for all of my games. Games I have never played, games I've only played a few times or games I have played a bunch. Helps with my OCD too.

So, I saw your comment on Drumble's page about adding Board Games. I hope you don't mind the comment, but I love the Backloggery and Board Games as well and I wanted to offer some help.

The obvious and probably the best place to start is BoardGameGeek. You can create an account to track your collection and even put in all of your Plays, which is very exciting! You can even put in games you are wanting to play or buy.

I've seen other sites that do something where you can track your Board Game collection as well, so you might want to look some up. It would be nice if they were all here, but there are other options out there.

If I ever did broaden the scope of the site, board games would be the obvious place to start.

That said, while I wouldn't say it's never gonna happen, I have no plans to do so currently.

Congrats on snagging a PS5! I managed to track one down last month. I love it, the controller's haptic feedback is a subtle and immersive gamechanger that I never expected.

Did you like The Devil’s Daughter more than Crimes & Punishments? I recently completed Crimes & Punishments (loved it) and heard a lot of mixed reactions regarding TDD, so I’m on the fence regarding that one.
