How was FF15? I'm interested in the game but everyone says that it's unfinished and feels "empty" and with all those cancelled DLC I'm even more worried about it

I've considered temporarily dropping the game until they fix the issue, but I'm so close to the end why bother. It is really annoying and the first time it happened, I hadn't saved in a while, so I was really peeved, but the game does autosave every time you go from one screen to another, so in the end not much time or effort was lost. That's the only saving grace. Otherwise, it happens at somewhat random times (though mostly while grinding), so it's probably causing them a headache to figure out what's causing it.

I'd say you've made the right call. Make 'em fix it to earn your money.

Well, assassin is the best vocation since it has that buff that makes you go super speed making it a dps beast when coupled with hundred kisses, and if needed you have a shield and a bow. It was nerfed a lot in DDDA yet it's still pretty powerful. Mystic knight has a skill that makes floating balls and if you attack them then it shoots projectiles with the same element your main weapon was buffed when you used the skill, and can put 2-3 orbs. It's cool but you don't have much control over it.

Dragon's Dogma Online must be the best mmo I've ever played. You have the main city where every player is, and once you go to the overworld or to a dungeon you only see yourself and your party. It can be played solo without any problems as there are pawns as well. About the gameplay, it's DDDA but improved 10 times. You have no stamina problems anymore so you can run all you want, weight is not an issue as well (although inventory space is), camera is better due to the larger map, and it has a rebalanced vocation system with a couple of new vocations which is pretty cool. They make a lot of events where you can get things from other games (it's capcom after all... I'm looking at you monster hunter), and it's more fast-paced. It runs pretty well but you have to log in using a Japanese VPN. There is a partial translation patch that gets updated every once in a while, it mainly translates the interface, items and quest goals which tbh is pretty much all you need to play it. I really like it, it's pretty much a better Dragon's Dogma where you can play with your friends coop.

Not only that, based on what you said you are using basically the strongest vocation in the game. I was using a mystic knight for instance and it's pretty awful at times, since your ranged attacks are basically homing attacks and depending on the monster it works beautifully or you don't hit at all. Melee with the mystic knight is not that good either so yeah. It's not balanced at all, and when you need your equipment to be the best or near that level, and the chance to acquire that same equipment is basically random... I expected better to be honest. Oh well. I wonder if they'll ever make another game since it's the third time they've released the same game now

I really don't think so. I believe that they wanted to make bitterblack a "place of death". It's not a place where you should be, and death is always around every corner. It's more a place where you should do what you have to do as quickly as possible and get out of there. You want to farm some equipment? Well, it's not going to be as simple as that, you'll be facing death always. This is no everfall, this is a place of failure. And while I like it on paper, it's just SUPER BOTHERSOME when playing for me it just seems out of place in a game where you have so much freedom and can really do whatever you want to the point that I have friends that didn't even do any story missions in Gran Soren because they got lost exploring and doing sidequests.

I mean I'm pretty sure they don't want you to engage every enemy because there is really no reward to fight when a strong enemy spawns because you killed some monsters. Yeah sure you can kill it with ease depending on your build, but really why? Most of the time they don't have good drops so

good freaking luck with bitterblack because that's how I am with that zone, bitter to no end. It's like they made a good game, and then they saw how everyone said that it was a souls clone so they had to increase the bullshit level to the max with the DLC. There is parkour, a lot of stupid encounters where you're supposed to run away, bosses that are incredibly difficult and may still kill you even if overleveled and with the best armor, traps, it's like they took everything that makes dark souls stupid and annoying and introduced it here. I'm still halfway there because honestly it's just no fun at all. At least dragon's dogma online is still very good...

If anyone's playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on PS4 and needs Rift Crystals, message me and we might be able to help each other with mutual pawn hiring. I can hire only one other pawn as I already have this kind of deal with someone else. Also, know your way with inclinations, I won't hire useless pawns.

Sounds enjoyable, though agreed, I'll need to brush up on my Fate knowledge. I haven't delved into the series since the first anime years ago, but I've read the basics of what goes on in Extra. Nothing too in depth, however.

What's the gameplay & story presentation like in Umbral Star? It seems a bit like Musou, but I can't really tell from what little I can find.

Ohh, I didn't know he wanted to make more KH games. That's... well that's a thing

tbh I've never been a super fan or anything but KH2 was my first PS2 game and I'm somewhat attached to it, and what they've shown us about KH3 and 0.2 is really, really good. It flows perfectly and looks super smooth and fun. And Yoko Shimomura is always welcome. So idk if I have the console I will probably end up getting the games just because they're fun, even if the story is terrible. That's if Nomura actually works and doesn't release one main game every 7 years.

It's way too strange. I still can't make sense of the story, but here is what I understood if you don't mind the spoilers:

the main villain is a young xehanort which has not started making experiments or anything, he is just following the paths his future selves made because it seems you can travel through time if there is a version of yourself in a specific point in time, but you have to leave your body behind or some stupid thing like that.

The thing is that when he gets to the past again he supposedly won't remember anything that is happening in the present, which is Sora's time after KH2. So... there is no fucking way that he should know when and where Sora was when the island got fucked up. I mean, remember that scene where a guy in a robe talked to Sora at the start of KH1? That's Ansem, the seeker of darkness: Xehanort's heartless. In order for him to be there, it's like young xehanort talked with his future self so that he could tell his heartless to talk to Sora or something so that he would know all that stuff and make preparations for all his plans... idk im not making any sense but it's hard to understand this crap

So yeah. Time travel is almost always bad and a poor excuse for writing. And well, Kingdom Hearts is Xehanort's story. There should not be any more Kingdom Hearts after KHIII...

Doesn't it though? 4 hours would definitely be more difficult. But yeah, there's some new strategies that brought the time down. Looking forward to seeing what I can do.

That's a segmented run. Meaning with near perfect RNG. I'm competing with others who do one sitting playthroughs. It's not possible to compete with a segmented run. Although I did steal ideas from it. Anyways, the one sitting WR is 14:09:46 with time to save. I'm working towards beating that and getting below 14 hours which I think is possible with some luck.

Thanks for the explanation! I thought it would be something like that. My problem with that game is that I finished the original story, and advanced some ranks but never got to beat the burst story since I got bored of grinding materials for new weapons and there was no way to continue without better equipment. So I convinced a friend of mine to do what you call the easy mode, I kinda wrecked everything with my equipment and we rushed the main story. But... we kinda got to the same point where I was and he lost his save since he had to format his computer. And well, I guess you can kinda imagine that going through it again if it doesnt offer anything new seems like a bit of a chore, especially if we consider that there are no variety in missions, and they get longer and longer without that much strategy.

I guess I'll just finish the story on my own and play the sequel then. I'll probably buy it on steam so achievements aren't that important anyway. I wonder why. Like, I feel like trophies are more important than achievements in steam. Which I find weird but whatever

I don't have the game on now, so I don't know the quest names, but the ones that hassled me the most were the ones for the circuits and scratched armor from the various SPA enemies, as well as the ones for the decent fur from the cyclopses, and the ones for pretty feathers. The others were all generally within reason.

It wasn't just a sentiment pertaining to FFF, but to all games where there are a bunch of quests with lousy rewards in exchange for an insane amount of work. But in this case, I'm doing them for the cash and items. Curiously, it's not the stone quests that are being the most annoying this time around, but rather the monster drop item ones.
