congrats on beating The Outer Worlds.. what did you think of it?

Wow I just randomly remembered this page a few days ago, started using it again and now it tells me it's my 10 year backloggiversary. WHEW!

Welp... I'm back. I don't even know why I stopped using this site but I just recently got a new pc and just randomly remembered this place after 3+ years. It seems most people deleted me off their friend list as there seem to be only four people left so I'll have to work on that... And getting my backlog up to date will take a while.

With my PlayStation Plus subscription expiring in less than a month, I went through my games library and looked at my PS+ games. What I take away from that is that, after nearly 3 years of PS+ on PS4, I won't miss even one of those games. I thought I might miss Resogun, but for some reason I seem to own this permanently. The rest is extremely meh. Lots of cheap indie games, most of them not particularly good, and the ones that are good, I finished and don't have any desire to go back to.

Looking at Xbox Live Gold for comparison, I'm really saddened by the PS+ offering. I really don't like the Xbox One or its controller that much. I love my PS4. Still, I find myself playing on the Xbox now simply because of the better supply of really good (or at least solid) free games and much more good, regular sales that make me buy games on Xbox rather than PS4 (and the ability to just plug a USB drive into it so I don't constantly have to delete and re-download games). My PS4 is now even used much less than my Wii U, which I despise for its shitty, super uncomfortable, cheap toy controller. The hell, Sony. Get your act together...

Gist of the story: I won't be renewing my PS+ subscription and won't get a new one any time soon. There's simply no reason to. Instead, I got 2 years of Xbox Live Gold and am very happy with that.

I guess I'm back on the Backloggery. For the past year I've been very focused on playing Ragnarok Online so I kept phasing out my use of this site. However, now I am back to my consoles and just grabbed an Xbox One when I got a good deal on one to supplement my PS4.
I'll probably take a while to get this updated with whatever random games I picked up in the almost a year that I've been gone so there should be a lot of activity on here from me in the next days and weeks.

So I've had the New 3DS for a now. I gotta say I really like the device. The only thing that bothers me is the positioning of the Stylus slot but I guess that can't be helped with the faceplates.

The "Super-Stable 3D" actually turns the whole 3D thing around completely for me, before I had turned 3D off 100% of the time because it kept blurring with every tiny movement making the feature completely worthless, now it's great. Only sometimes notice some slight flickering when it adjusts the screens to my head position but that's not a real issue. Have it on 100% of the time now.

The old 3DS really hurt in my hands with its edges and corners poking into my hands all the time. The New 3DS's rounded off design totally negates that.

The device is a tiny bit larger than the old 3DS which makes a real difference for screen size. At the same time it's a lot smaller than the 3DS XL which always was way too large for me (and my pockets).

Overall a huge improvement over the 3DS/3DS XL, I just wish they would finally start naming their products properly so it doesn't confuse pretty much everyone but the hardcore fans.
