Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
On Fire: 3 beat or complete in a row
Been a good while since I've played Stella Glow, but I enjoyed it a lot indeed! Hope you'll like it when you eventually get to play it, too

Mario Galaxy 2 on the Switch is a must... I really don't understand why they didn't include it in the collection to begin with

Meant to comment a few days ago but didn't!

STELLA GLOW! I never beat that game cuz the endgame was very difficult but I did love what I played, and I hope you do too!

No worries, I've been diving hard into FFXIII the last few days and getting super invested in the story so I keep forgetting to sit down and respond to comments.

Apparently my bf never got to experience much of the Nintendo 64 library due to never having owned one. So I already know that me and him are going to take a trip down memory lane and I'll show him all the games I played as a kid (Banjo-Kazooie is at the top of my list!). If I had to pick a game I'd like to see added to the library it'd probably be Banjo-Tooie or Nightmare Creatures. V3 definitely is different and while I've yet to completed 2 I'll be tackling that once I sit down and start working on the Zero Escape series again since I've only beaten the first and played just a tiny bit of the second one.

FFXIII didn't pull me in initially when I started it so I was in a weird place where I felt it was really boring and not something I wanted to super dive into so I gave myself a ~2 week or so break and played a bunch of puzzle games like Magical Drop and Puyo Tetris. Went back to it recently ofc and now that I've invested the time into it the story has pulled me in completely and yes you'd be correct to assume it's Hope. His character becomes more tolerable but for the first ~40% or so of the game he is just taking every chance he has to be the whiny kid of the group. Completely understand his grief + him being young makes him emotional but I'm so glad they had their moment to overcome that hump and actually be friendly with one another now. Just saw the cutscene where he summons his Eidolon and realizes he's not the wimpy kid he was when he started on this journey. FFXIII isn't perfect mostly due to it taking until ch4 for weapon upgrades and not having full access to /control of all party members until ch10 but the story was enough to push me along to this point so I'm okay with that.

There's a rule that I've always followed when it comes to games: Go in with an open mind. I do keep things in mind that I may have heard about a game but I don't allow that to form any bias before I play. Doing that just sets you up to go into it with a negative mindset, which then leads into you finding every little flaw the game may have vs "these are the good and bad parts about x game." People are really quick to hop on the hate bandwagons, too, which is pretty shitty.

[My response is long this time so it's continued in the next comment! ]

So while I certainly have my favorite FF titles I won't pretend that there aren't flaws with a game simply because I love it. FFVII was my first RPG/FF game and while it will always hold a special place in my heart it definitely has it's issues and I'm not going to pretend it doesn't cause muh nostalgia. xD RE0 was the entry that had no item boxes and required you to drop items in a room and therefore remember where you left them, yes. It was a weird decision since every entry prior had item boxes and I was one of those people who forgot where they put x item near the end of the game so insert 2 hours of running around trying to find it. The leech enemies aren't that fun to deal with either imo.

A Zelda marathon would be the more likely of the two since sadly I don't own XC2 or 3. I want them but I don't see them on sale that often (I want physical copies) it's hard to drop that spicy $80 for the game + xpac. As for FFX-2 it isn't the worst game but personally it feels like it was unnecessary. The stuff they were setting up via Last Mission for the yet to be made X-3 was also undermining a LOT of the emotional punch from X. Idk, for me I treat X-2 like it didn't happen or it's a spinoff and X is still safe from that mess.

Paranormasight sound like it's going to be a blast for me to play! I'll be letting my bf watch me play so we'll both be going WTF and making the faces together.

Glad to see/hear you're enjoying Zelda. Do you think I'd need to play BOTW before getting that one? I've been reading I don't but I'd like to hear it from someone who's actually playing that I know, lol.

Happy gaming/have a great week!
