Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
I'm still trying to figure out how best to plan my second playthrough on a new game plus, and then play Royals when it comes out. I've been trying to finish my Backloggery and I have 12 left but there's a couple that are so long! (looking at Nier and Persona 4)

That was one of the funny discussion we had when we moved: Whose television will be the one we use? How are we going to set everything up, since between the two of us we have most consoles and then doubles of PS4, and Switch. And there's been a couple of fun finds! I'd been toying with the idea of buying a PSP, and turns out we have his. The big temptation I have now is buying a second Vita as a backup in case something ever happens to mine.
Found this: [Link]

I played MGS4 and just didn't understand a thing, and once I sat down and did all 4 was heaven. Which was your favourite out of all 5?

Don't worry, the secret is safe

The repetition grew a bit old, fighting the same boss over and over again wasn't the most fun. But the time stone mechanism was so creative! Fun moment I forgot about: I was flying on the bird for the first time and focused way too much on the tv and forgot about the Wii's motion controls and bashed my knee with the Wiimote A friend took a video and the crack noise is just awful.

That's the best feeling! Funny enough, my sister still isn't much of a gamer with one exception: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I have no idea why that one has held her, but she's played most of that series and logged an unreal amount of hours in Skyrim.

I am so looking forward to Link's Awakening! I really loved Oracle of Ages and Seasons! Have you played Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks? I've heard they're a bit less fun.

I gotta say, other than the combat graphics which are like Shadow Dragon they got their act together with New Mystery of the Emblem already, even before Awakening! What a shame they never localised it, though!

The issue with Shadow Dragon's story compared to the excellent Radiant Dawn before it is that it's a very faithful remake, but the base is the first NES Fire Emblem which had very little story to begin with. That's why it feels so strange to anyone coming off of FE07-FE10. In New Mystery, they added a lot more story to a game that already had a bigger focus on it for its time, so it feels like a modern title in that sense.

MHGU brought back several more old monsters and added the flagship plus a new final boss that is surprisingly fun to fight and not a silly punching bag like other final bosses in MH. There are also several new Deviants, a new regular area and much more like new Hunter Arts and two new Styles. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out if you liked Generations and you can simply transfer your whole progress over as well!

I wanted to see it on the Monday, but I'll have to wait until the next Monday, work is just too hectic.

Oh lord, I'm not ready to tackle Skyward Sword again. That game was such a nightmare to play lol. And since it can be such a nightmare to start with the first Zelda, I think the SP version is great to sort of ease into the playstyle. It was too funny, my sister and I were never able to beat the game as children, but I bought it for the 3DS as a digital download and texted her after I beat it. Despite both being adults, the excitement was just as fresh!

I think come winter I'll start a new game plus of P5 and have it done as quick as I can, but with better confidants. That way I can be all nice and done in time for Royals!

Will PM you the details on that, just for privacy's sake

Since he's right beside me as I type now, and his response on Fallout was "meh", hasn't played Automata but did buy it and since his library is 100% digital, I just piggyback my PS4 off his for games.

As for what he likes, I know he's a big fan of Destiny, the Metal Gear franchise, and he did really enjoy Danganronpa after I begged him to play it

Yeah, you made the right call in avoiding Shadow Dragon. I'd say it's easily the worst of all officially translated games. The mechanics are a weird mix of modern aspects and the original NES title, which really doesn't work that well. The story also isn't much to write home about given the plot was from such an old game. Top it all off with a hit-or-miss artstyle and shoddy graphics and it's no wonder Awakening had to get the franchise back on track.

Shadow Dragon is actually the second remake of the first FE game after Mystery of the Emblem on the SNES, which remade Marth's original story in Book 1 and added a brand-new sequel with Book 2. Then they remade Book 2 in New Mystery of the Emblem on the DS, but didn't localise it because presumably Shadow Dragon didn't meet expectations. Apparently that game is a lot better than Shadow Dragon, which I'll find out for myself later this month!

I'm surprised you can still go back to MH4U now! Anything before Generations feels off to me now and I honestly never want to play MH without a proper controller (Switch or PS4) again.

Focus: Only playing one game
What you see as impressive, I'm beginning to think more and more that it's just too much. I'm really thinking about shrinking it to more essential games for me, because it's really becoming out of control.

I can't pinpoint one specific hidden gem, there's so much indie on the Switch, and I've tried too much of them. But so far, my most played game is Stardew Valley, with over 180 hours, and I still have lot of stuff I want to do in-game. It's the perfect chill game for me!

It was the long Easter weekend for us, and I just kept checking and checking

Uggggh it's miserable. So I know Endgame is out, and I really want to see it but I'll wait a couple more weeks and do the usual plan. All the reviews are so positive for it, so I'm excited! Boyfriend and I live right in the downtown of Toronto so the movie strategy was the only way we could enjoy the cinema.

I had the theory video on while making dinner so it was one of those "I'm sorry, wait, WHAT!?" when the sex bits came up. Boyfriend was chiming in as well that everything was pretty spot on but that part was just bizarre. It's definetly given me a desire to play Ocarina again. I'm hoping Switch will port a good chunk of the Zelda series, it would be brilliant! Speaking of, my other half did manage to trick me with this in the beginning [Link]

Having the blue ring to start is also a huge help since it's a huge boost to defence when you have so little, and money is so difficult to come by as well.

It was too funny, I could hear Futaba shouting and then heard Igor and thought "oh god no"...saw what happened and wasn't even mad. I had almost 2 weeks left before the deadline, so I had planned to just go back to Mementos and grind but I hit the wrong button and started the battle all over again and then won.

Funny enough, boyfriend actually makes video games for a living and he's never play an RPG. The closest he's come has been watching me play Persona 5. To me, it's the strangest thing!
