★★★★★ A stellar, if difficult game, Shin Megami Tensei III sets you free in a corrupted world of demons, where you utilize your own abilities and that of demons you can recruit in order to progress. Just about everything, from the music to the voice acting to the battles, is great. The graphics look just a little out of date since this was originally a PS2 title, but besides that it's a must play for any good JRPG fan.

★★★★★ One of the best old school JRPGs to be made in the last number of years, it's basically a sandbox JRPG game. Choose one character of 8, experience their first chapter and then go nuts. I have very much become obsessed with the Nintendo Switch version of "Megalomania" from Live-A-Live. The composer didn't need to go THAT hard with it but he did, and then some. At this points it's pretty much eclipsed any other JRPG boss theme for me. To the point I'm listening to it on repeat in the car on the way to work and it's playing in my head all day.

(Jump Force) They really weren't that hard for me (but I was using 2 PS4s and 2 copies of the game). It's just more of an issue of coordination with other people. The longest one will be the "fight 100 other people" trophy. Thankfully, you can fight the same person 100 times.

I sorta wished the missions/rest of the game allowed for online co-op; otherwise I'll be grinding through it. I'm likely to get back to it after I finish Everybody's Golf.

I am never going to play any of these games. Sadly. I still intend to, but I haven't even gotten to Dragon Age II yet, and I would need to replay the first game and all of it's extra content, and while that's something I want to do, I probably will never do. Oh well. Those recent pickups were all free from Amazon Prime and Twitch. Only reason I really keep the Prime subscription because the shipping is all fukt now.

The day glow cruelty of it was interesting at first, but having recently played Ultima 4 - which offers a lot more richness in narrative and a far more coherent world, even if the combat is pretty wretched - it definitely felt like a less compelling game. I did appreciate the subtle touches, and the narrative went to appreciably bonkers places eventually, but much more so than Ultima 4, it felt more like a history piece than a fun game in the present. Enjoyed your thoughts!

As with any 'main' series of Square's, there's always some experimentation. BBS was basically the 'main' experimental game for the KH series. 358/2 days didn't really do much but use the grid system, which was not bad. You love it or you hate it, I was personally a fan of the system BBS put in place and found it pretty fun to unlock the different commands and see what my character could develop. That said, it does have its downfall in other games such as the Balloon series in 3D, it's way too OP .

I'm surprised you haven't beaten 1 yet. It's really good. Not as good as 2, but a good 'stripped down' version. It was made back when the premise of the game was simple. Let me know if you want any tips on the other games!
