Right Hand of Bak'laag: 1000+ unfinished games
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
Confused: Playing 10+ games at once
I started...probably around Jan or Feb? I have zero experience with the dub, I went subs mainly because of Michuru and Haruka. Lesbians>>>>>Weird bi curious cousins or whatever. I did not realize if the original Another Story was like this, but I did notice in the new patch, I caught at least once scene with them holding hands, which I smiled at. I didn't even know how BAD the DiC dub was until I watched the Season 1 finale and read about how they completely butchered it for the dub. Supposedly Viz's is far better, but that's also much more recent.

I am sort of interested in Crystal, but I may be a bit more interested in the manga, because I hear that changes more stuff up, sorta like how Pokemon anime and manga are totally different. I want to see how they do Chaos/Chaos Galaxia. As I mentioned, she's easily the closest character writing wise to Lilith...which is funny, because where I started out writing and roleplay online was...Yep, a Sailor Moon chat room. Maybe that subconsciously influenced a few things.

I never saw any of the show back then, because at the time I wasn't supposed to watch "girl" stuff...which was a load of bullshit, as I'm sure we both know, along with every single other person who has a brain. On one hand, I'm glad, because that means I probably would have had to watch the horrible DiC dub, because even if I could download a subbed version, I still remember the days of Napster and how long it took to download songs. Even just SNES games, which are even smaller than most MP3s. On the other, I would have very much liked to be able to use that information to write better in my stuff on that old chat room. I miss that place, and the people there. I lost access to my MSN after my Hotmail got deleted for inactivity, though, after I quit using it almost a decade ago because a stalker I had would IM me the second I got on every damn day and would not quit. He'd also show up to my house unannounced and even bring other people over sometimes. He was awful, I am so glad to be rid of him. He'd also pull shit like sabotage my hard work in group projects (that he knew nobody ever picked me, so he always did) with his dumb inane jokes, getting the teacher to shut off the video. not miss him one bit.

Anyway, I definitely share Rei's temper. A lot. Maybe moreso. A lot's happened in the past year to make me damaged goods even more.

I watch Sailor Moon on a private server. It's nice.

Backlog Beaten: August 21, 2014
Backlog Completed: September 27, 2014
Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
Cursed: 10+ new games in a row
Focus: Only playing one game
That's always been my argument: you were so goddamn blinded by polygons that you only thought it was good; it always sucked. That said, I do agree that next-gen snobbery leads to unnecessary trashing of perfectly good games.

Even getting her to finish 4 was something else, but I keep trying to convince her to watch the originals, at least. She's on Dead Space now, and her official endorsement is, "Well, it definitely sucks, but not enough for me to rage quit." I need this on the back of the box.

And since our last chat, what happens? Nintendo actually puts a limit on digital copies for the 3D Mario collection. But they don't manufacture scarcity; that's just haters talking. The panhandling in YouTube videos doesn't bother me as much, because I understand that jobs are scarce, and they gotta keep the lights on. Sure as hell not signing up for Raid: Shadow Legends, but I'd prefer ads in an occasionally humorous style from my favorite content creators over STOPPING MY VIDEO EVERY 5 GODDAMN MINUTES FOR YET ANOTHER FUCKING ONEWHEEL AD I DON'T FUCKING CARE, KYLE that are only going to make people resentful toward your product. It is still almost heartbreaking to see things come to that, though; I won't disagree.

I'm just glad that I got my OCD under control back in the '90s, when trading cards were the thing. Still impossible to collect them all, but understanding that level of despair and using it to temper my disorder has definitely helped me out later in life.

You mean especially one full of sexual deviants. But yeah, the appeal of, "Have you finished your NES dragon, Carl?" is probably too great to resist.

That's a good point; I just wish they realized the harm that they're doing. Or cared, at least. Social media is good in the sense that you can't sweep shit under the rug anymore, but now everyone thinks they have a chance to be heard and worshiped. It's like the legion of unfunny Angry Video Game Nerd clones that flocked to YouTube for their own crack at fame and fortune, except now, it's anyone who has a smartphone, which is everyone, except for myself, my lady, and my mom. I do have a smartbrick (same thing, but no phone service) that allows me to access my VPN for work, listen to music in my car (no CD player! ), and scream at because touchscreens are shit, but I don't use it for anything else.

Shows what I know: I thought Indy and F-1 were the same thing... They look the same to me, anyway. I used to know more about motorcycle racing, since my dad used to actually race, but even the F2 he got in '92 didn't see a lot of action. Of course, that's back when Honda was the king; apparently, it's Yamaha now, and since they also make musical instruments, all I can picture is someone winning a race with those crappy plastic recorders trumpeting their victory. Didn't know that racing had lost its popularity, though. Of course, I haven't been interacting with the public for almost 7 months, now; maybe reading books is popular, for all I know. Ooooo! Or competitive basket weaving! Hey, if golf can be a thing...

I think that's the case, too, but it's maybe not the best option, either. Yes, there are more customers on Steam, but there are also more games. A LOT more games, and your title is likely to be buried under all the trash. Some weirdos, such as myself, will dig through it to find that shrink-wrapped donut, but many just assume that there is only more trash under all the trash. Of course, itch has that problem, too, so who knows?

For the newer systems, I actually have both; my PS2 collection is emulated now, but all of my ISOs are ripped directly from my actual discs, aside from compilations, which are on their original systems, because why not? In fact, with Mega Man 8, that's even the better option, because the Anniversary Collection weirdly increases the pitch of the last 4 robot masters. "I'm Swordmn!" ...on helium. Wii/Game Cube require a special type of DVD drive for one ripping program, and while the other doesn't, I haven't found a place to get it that doesn't look sketchy as fuck. No idea how PS3 would work; I imagine I'd need a BluRay drive, and I don't even have my DVD drive hooked up, because I needed an extra SSD, and there aren't enough slots now. But yes, people were just virtually trampling each other to throw $700 on a machine that isn't going to have many launch titles, and by the time it has a decent library, it'll be quite a bit cheaper, anyway. I'm at least glad they don't both look like VCRs from the '80s without the wood paneling, now; Microsoft at even put out one that looks like a fast food loudspeaker.
Why did you scroll this far down?
