Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Chapter 6.

☆★★★★ Action JRPG, similar in style to the latter half of Final Fantasy XIII. I have really mixed feelings about it. Fantastic setting and designs and a decent story, but the weird battle system and difficult navigation dampen my enjoyment a bit. Japanese voices are a must. They continue to patch it to address a lot of the games flaws, which helps a lot.

Ahhh, the glorious black hole brought upon us by MMOs! I know that feel, back when I was really into WoW i ended up ignoring lots of other games and websites and many other things.

Yeah, there's a hint of future craziness in SR2 but that's it.GTA is indeed much more grounded in reality, with the 4th one being the most serious out of them all.

Oh snap, you still live! Nice seeing ya after so much time.
I have only played SR 2 and 3 but I generally agree with what you said.Gotta say,I enjoyed more the SR2 way of portraying you as a ruthless and borderline psychotic boss than the SR3 way where I felt more like an over the top fool that didn't do much on his own.
Looking forward to play SR4 sometime later this year!

I've beaten Saints Row 2-4. Here's how I see them stacking up:

GAMEPLAY: 4>3>2
LENGTH: 2>3>4
HUMOR: 3>4>>>2
PLOT: 2>3>4
OVERALL: 3>4>2

Saints Row The Third is simply a masterpiece. It's full of ridiculous over-the-top missions, great characters, and excellent gameplay. You have to see it to believe it.

Saints Row 4 builds up on the strengths of the gameplay and adds a bit more replay value by adding a medal system to activities, but superpowers make vehicles (a central and fun gameplay component) largely obsolete. The setting and plot is also fairly homogenous, as there's only one enemy faction and it's really just a series of movie-style hacking without any really interesting twists and turns. It also lacks some of the ridiculousness of The Third (Nothing can really match a game that starts with a bobblehead bank robbery and moves on to a skydiving firefight).

Saints Row 2 is barely recognizable as the same series. It has only a tiny fraction of the humor present in the later series, and overall has a much more realistic and dark tone. Aside from some nitpicks with the controls (It's not a great port), it's a good game. But it's nothing like The Third, so it's the only one I didn't bother to Complete.

I certainly hope so. I wasn't that big a fan of the first Dead Space, but my one buddy keeps saying it's like 10 times better, and I figured it was worth 20 bucks.

999 on the other hand, everyone everywhere goes on and on about how great it is, so I figured why not? I'm not really sure what to expect since the closest thing to it gameplay-wise that I've played (I think) is the Phoenix Wright games. And I don't seem to think they're as super great as everyone everywhere either.

But whatever, I'm sure I'll enjoy them enough.

Because they have that huge jumping attack, they tend to land in weird ways and get stuck on parts of the terrain. They also have a fairly large hearing range, so they can swarm you and start jumping/stomping and clipping through each other, preventing you from standing up, ever. And their hit range is huge and wonky. That triple stomp thing they do will sometimes get you even if it seems like you're way out of they're range.

Doesn't help that they are super goofy enemies to begin with. Giant, fat, headless things that jump 8 times their height? And they're all just like... standing around in lava, for some reason? Really weird.
Cheapness leads to piracy. Piracy leads to distraction. Distraction leads to the Backlog.
