Yeah, I tend to consider Mario being a playable character the prerequisite for a "Mario" Mario game, which is why DKC and Wario Land aren't Mario per se and Yoshi's Island is somewhat of a grey area. The Super Mario series is so robust and superlative though that it's very refreshing to see someone endeavoring to play through each one; I wish more gamers these days shared your goals.

Holy ravioli! That's quite an auspicious undertaking, paisano, good luck! It'll probably be as much of a challenge just to collect all those games as it will be to beat them! So are you going through every Mario game, or just concentrating on certain ones?

It's funny because despite how many games I own, I think I backplay my Mario games more than anything else...

Hopefully I don't seem like a creeper - I saw you tagged in a tweet from Kariohki and checked out your Backloggery. Needless to say, I friggin' love your theme, which is why I just had to comment. I am a HUGE Twin Peaks and David Lynch fan. Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive are probably my two favorite films of his but I still think Twin Peaks as a whole is the greatest thing he's ever done. I actually just rewatched the pilot (with alternate ending) a few days ago. It's amazing how he managed to create his own little pocket universe with the show...the town seems alive and I was impressed how the pilot managed to briefly establish so many relationships that would later be explored by the series.

Angelo Badalamenti's stirring music just seals the deal (he's one of my favorite composers and his music is a crucial component of the show', IMO). I really can't say enough good things about TP, the sad thing is it's a show that would never been greenlit these days. I was awestruck once again by how the pilot is overwhelming in its sense of grief.

I love FWWM! I too only found out about the series about a year ago, after watching Neon Genesis Evangelion which is considered to some the anime equivalent of Twin Peaks. The nightmare scenes in FWWM are so haunting, and being an R rated film, Lynch was able to show things he never could on television. FWWM led to me becoming obsessed with all of Lynch's films and discovering my favorite movie, Mulholland Drive. It's a shame it didn't have more Cooper, he's my favorite character of anything, but the scenes he did have were awesome.

I've heard of Deadly Premonition being twin peaks inspired, and I do have a 360 which could use some use. It's high on my list to check out.

If you haven't already, I recommend checking out the Twin Peaks Gold Box Edition dvd set. It doesn't include the movie, but it has a ton of bonus features/documentaries including a discussion between Lynch and Kyle MacLachlan.

Fantastic Theme. There is no game, film or television series I love anywhere near as much as Twin Peaks.
