Luulen, että joudun alusta vetämään jos ja kun mielenkiinto pelisarjaa kohtaa taas heräjää (ja saisi motia testata, että onko oma ps2 enää elävien kirjoissa).

Itselläkin sama juttu Project Zeron kanssa Jonkun aikaa peluutusta ja sitten 10+ vuotta määrittämättömällä tauolla.

I had a complete read of your games of the year 2023. Quite interesting, your post made me discover Vampire Survivor, I should check it out soon. Also in second place Aria of Sorrow, is such a good game, very addicting too, I've been willing to play it again on my GBA, it is a cosy console.
It seems that you had a fun year playing all those games, 38 beaten is a very good record!

Hello! I had the same problem with Pokemon Arceus, i found myself getting bored of it pretty quickly. I still have to try shield/sword and the newer ones, will buy one of them soon. I don't know which generation to play first with my son. Any recommendation?

Yep, the 3DS and WiiU stores closing is sad news. and like you I went and bought plenty of games.
It was the opportunity to buy all the Shin Megami Tensei games that were available on the 3DS and that perhaps won't be remastered any time soon...
On the WiiU I just downloaded all those titles that were on the Virtual Console and that I was eyeing for a while, but some of them just got released on the Nintendo Switch...
The 3DS is one of my favourite consoles so I'm sure I'll be playing what I bought soon enough.

Yeah, I've been on vacation too, I didn't have much time to play because I was travelling.
My backlogg is also getting out of control, because even if I'm not playing much I've been buying a lot!
It is a dangerous situation!

I'm glad that you had a good time with Kuru Kuru Kururin! It is a very nice game, it has that pick up and play gameplay that is refreshing and, as you say, it is not very long.
I recently beat Grandia, a great JRPG, I had a very good time with it, but yeah, it took me 70 hours to see the ending. Little games like games like Kuru Kuru Kururin are good to have in between mastodon games such as RPGs.
Try it on normal, at some point if you like, it is quite challenging, but now that you have beat it in easy you are familiar with the levels layouts, that will surely help

Oh yes! Ys VI, the first Ys game that I played back when it was released on the PS2, good memories!

On the other hand Shin Megami Tensei V is very different, exploration takes place in open world areas, and it is really well done, even with the collectibles (Miman).

How did you find the combat and the recruiting system?
In SMT V, when you talk to a demon to recruit it the conversation can get hilarious from time to time.

Overall, it is a really good game (really good)!

As it is Vanquish, but in a different way, the Steam, PS4/XBOX One is the best version as it is 60 fps locked. I personally don't care much for 60 fps or performance details like that but for a game so action packed it makes a difference. I played the game back when it was released on the Xbox 360, and replaying it now at maximum speed was a blast.
It is a short game, so yeah, waiting for another sale is a good idea.

It is worth to do another run with another character in Ys Origin. The gameplay changes a little and the story as well. I really had fun with that.

Ys is a lovely franchise I've only played a couple of games that impressed me because how fast paced the combat is and the simplicity of the overall game flow. It seems that the latest games are quite good too.

I see that you have started Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux.
I'm discovering the series with Shin Megame Tensei V and I like it quite well so far. Have you played more games from that franchise?

Ys Origin is very good and fast pace. I played it a couple of weeks ago and I had a very good time with it. Also, Yunica is a lovely character.
