I am playing a Reproduction Cart. Playing the game on my actual Super Nintendo.

I bought it from OCD Reproductions [Link] and it has been amazing. I've bought several games from them and they all have been fantastic. This is the first time I'm playing through the game, so I can't give any comparisons, but the game itself runs fantastic. So far, the game has been fun, but rather hard!

And....I'm going to do it. I'm going to buy a PS5. Next week. Just have to find one first.

Honestly growth on TT has been much slower then anticipated vs TA. The simple reason being that there were several well established trophy sites out there and it has just struggled to compete against them.

Here is a decent Fat Princess guide:

You can get up to 11 cats in Crono's house by winning cat food at the fair. Winning enough cat food requires a looot of silver points, hence the grinding.

It's weird. It was in a recent Nintendo Direct and released at the same time, if I remember. I think the first was for 3DS? Sadly no physical, but I did buy it to keep up my Kirby "collection" even though I'm not sure if digital-only should count. I do need to buy some of those 3DS mini-games I guess.

I appreciate it but that's too kind. I don't even consider them until/if I ever take on the built-in custom missions, and the fact that I didn't beat Reckoning within the 25 minute time limit to open the secret mission legitimately.

I gotta say the end was pretty anti-climactic, ending with me blowing up some supply depots, naturally. =P
(Albeit with infested Terrans, but still.)
(Don't worry about trying to use infested Terrans by the way. As fun as they are in concept, it's not worth it.)

Did that game come with cards? Must have been a store specific sort of thing, mine doesn't have cards and it was new. Just off of a retail shelf though.

Yeah old games are getting stupid expensive. It's irritating for people like you or me who just want to play the damn games on the original hardware. A big problem I'm coming to realize is "collectors" like you find on youtube. The videos can be interesting, but they buy up all this stuff just to have it then make videos about it which everyone sees and it drives the cost up further. I don't think they do it on purpose to fuck everyone over but it is a nasty side effect. (Have you looked at Gamecube prices recently? ) I'm not saying that I will realistically get around to playing EVERYTHING I have, but the intention is at least there. I'm actually making some headway during this year lol. I was actually entertaining the idea of getting Everdrives for everything and being done with it. We'll see how this ODE (when it gets here) goes over with the Saturn I just got.

You liked the voice acting!? I hope that means "ironically" lol. Because it isn't good. Just entertaining. The battle system is great though once you get a handle on it.

But don't feel bad $75 isn't a TON. The most I ever spent on a retro game was $110 for Valkyrie Profile. But that was at an estate sale that was underestimating it's value. I always wanted to play it. It is now the most valuable game I own depending on the day. It and Dracula X for SNES are constantly trading that off. I got that for about $75 back in the day, but I'm a Castlevania nut so I had to have it.

Got Arc Rise Fantasia? How much that cost you, that game has retained it's price from what I recall. Lucky I bought it when the Wii was still a thing and it was old. Got it for like $20. It is a pretty good game from a gameplay perspective though. The voice acting is fucking awful though...so get ready. It's like a bunch of those anamatronic robots from Chuck E Cheese. Except for Cecile. She's my favorite. Never left my party.

(Mad Max) It's all servers. I just checked Microsoft's Xbox Store and it displays the same message.

EDIT: It is possible to get the Platinum for this before October 31. It honestly doesn't take that long to do so. However, 2 of the trophies (Looked Everywhere and Up To The Task) are possible to glitch so you have to make frequent save backups through PS+ or an USB stick. I'm planning on getting the Platinum but I'm watching the scavenging locations and making sure the challenges and stats match up.

Additionally, 2 of the challenges for Up To The Task require an online connection to complete and a connection to the server. It's possible that progress is unrelated to the servers but I would not want to take that chance.

I take it back, I had it backwards. You want to take out Mengsk last, and the UED first. This is because, since the UED focus a lot on expensive air units and goliaths, you can just rush them with mass (upgraded) hydralisks, and now you have multiple new bases you can take. If you go for Mengsk first, you need to tech up to air units and upgrade them, and by the time you do that, all three enemy armies have also teched up and have amassed a large force, while you're still stuck in the center on two bases.

That said, the UED has fled. We're a third of the way there.

"I've really enjoyed seeing each banner you've been putting up"

I'm glad someone saw what I did there.
I pulled the unit portrait GIFs from the StarCraft wiki. Go nuts: [Link]

For a few of the missions (including this one) I went old school and busted out the Prima strategy guide from the StarCraft Battle Chest that I bought a million years ago. It's FINALLY getting some use. And in that guide I learned something very interesting: Each of the three fleets prefers the use of specific units.
Mengsk prefers "a rather brutal ground attack" and defense; infantry, tanks, and nukes, with science vessels here and there. The UED prefers air and anti-air units; goliaths, valkyries, and battlecruisers. The Protoss use a little of everything, but be particularly aware of of high templar, dark archons, corsairs, and arbiters.
Each fleet will still produce and use every other unit, but not as much as a regular CPU opponent let loose.

So with that in mind, I'm going for Mengsk first, because tanks suck. After that, we'll see.

It also warns that once an enemy base has taken severe damage, the other two will converge on you, so you must destroy it utterly on the first attempt, otherwise you end up in a back-and-forth, and you can't win a war of attrition against the CPU. In fact, I did some Googling (I like how that term is in Firefox's dictionary) and apparently the CPU can never run out of resources, even when they're mined out. So, yeah.

"I could never even get going."
Shortly after I started this endeavor (as in Episode I), I took one particular piece of advice from a guy on YouTube whose name I don't remember, to heart: "If you're asking when you should stop making probes, you're not making enough probes. You should always make probes."
For this mission I've got 2 drones PER mineral patch, and 3-4 per geyser. Expand as soon as humanly possible, and when attacking, keep a reserve behind; you never want to have to break off an attack to reinforce a base.
I've gotten away with cheesing a number of missions by going all in on a few units, but it seems there's no getting around combined arms this time. If I pull this off it'll be a new personal best for APM, too.

I think if I can beat mission 8 "To Slay the Beast", I should be able to tackle "Omega". We'll see. The former is often regarded as the hardest mission in Brood War, if not the series. (I haven't completed the series so I can't say personally.)
To Slay the Beast was ridiculous. Never, ever again.
It doesn't help that Zerg doesn't gel with my play style nearly as well as Protoss, fun as it is.

But I'm at the secret mission "Dark Origin"*. Two to go!
* I beat "The Reckoning" legit in ~29 minutes, then cheated to beat it in 25 to open the secret level. Good enough; to Hell with that noise.
