Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
Sorry for the late reply here, Dojo. I've been super busy on vacation, so I haven't really had time to check the Backloggery. I definitely know that feeling of buying stuff with every intention of playing it, but having life get in the way (especially when you hold off on that game for years, the value goes down, and the visuals and gameplay age so much that you don't even want to play it anymore [RPGs can be very guilty of this]). And yeah, seeing and announcing what you're working on really has an effect when it comes to finishing stuff. It worked for me, and kept my mind on track so I could beat 500 games within a decade. My best recommendation is to focus on only one or two games at a time, and keep a multiplayer/score-based game on the side for some variety.

Man, Night in the Woods was so magical. It had this small town-feel to it that was just intoxicating. If you've ever seen Gravity Falls, it gave me similar vibes to that (and GF is one of my favourite cartoons ever made). The writing, characters, music and art style were all just killer as well. The interactions between everyone was very endearing, and the game was super relaxing to play. You could totally absorb yourself and just appreciate everything that was put into it. Plus, the game had enough depth that you could explore and find new characters and events to see, as well as having it give you choices on who to hang out with so that on another play through, you can choose those characters you didn't hang out with the first time for all new events. I just got my wife into the game as well, and she fully agrees. Plus, Gregg just rules. That's a scientific fact.

I really have some interest in Minit, but I think I'll have to wait for a sale, since I just got a Switch, and now I'm far more interested in checking out it's library. The first indie I've got to check out on that console is Hollow Knight. I'm a sucker for Metroidvanias and everything I've heard about the game sounds like bliss.

Yeah, Bastion was definitely the best of the SuperGiant games in my opinion (Transistor and Pyre are still pretty awesome though). Castle Crashers can be quite a grind, but it is tons of fun, especially in multiplayer. My god, your entire library is an absolute beast. I'm looking at it, and there's so many amazing things. For one, I'm so glad it shows that you've beaten Night in the Woods. I played that this year, and it became my favourite game of all time. There was not one thing that I disliked about that game.

As for your other stuff, you have some amazing indie titles just sitting there waiting to be played, like Towerfall Ascension, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Va-11 Hall-A, Transistor, Superhot, Super Meat Boy, Steamworld Dig (2 is even considerably more awesome), Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (and just the series as a whole), Rogue Legacy, Nidhogg, Luftrausers, Guacamelee, Freedom Planet, FEZ, Duck Game, Downwell...I mean, dude, where are you even going to get the time to play all of this awesome? You've got quite the journey ahead of you, that's for sure. Just curious if you've put in a bit of time into each game, or if the majority of these are just a result of Steam sales?

Also, I've got to ask how Minit is. It's one of the few indie games left out there that I haven't tried, but am interested in checking out at some point. I may wait for a sale, because I've been dicey on if the game becomes frustrating and vague due to that one minute time limit.

I see some pretty amazing unfinished games on your Steam list already, man (1001 Spikes, Bastion, Bit.Trip Runner 2, Borderlands, Castle Crashers, Cave Story+, Crypt of the Necrodancer)! I've had a seriously good times with those ones. I'll tune back in when you add some more to see what else you've got on your backlog. If there are any games you want to talk about in your backlog, or ask about on mine, just send a reply my way.
