Hey, so, this is like three weeks later, but I just noticed your comment about Pocket Card Jockey. I apologize in advance for writing an entire essay, but I just really enjoy giving tips to other people. Please note that I'm not an expert at the game, this is just from my experience. If your horse is doing badly in races, it's either because you aren't doing well in the games of solitaire, or the other horses are just simply so strong that even if you have a close to perfect game, you can't win. My advice is to focus mostly on growing your horse before it reaches maturity, so make sure to get as many EXP and skill cards as you can. It really helps to get into the level 3 comfort zone because you go into super unity if you clear all of your cards. And don't forget that even if you collect the special cards, you have to clear them for them to take effect. I'm not sure if there are certain races that can only be done before the horse reaches maturity, but I usually try to win at least one GI race. If you focus on growth and doing well in solitaire, GIII and GII races should come pretty easy. GI's are always the ones that will have horses that are too strong for you, so don't let it get you down if you can't win those. I always win at least one before the horse reaches maturity, so not all of them are impossible. One last thing warning I have is to be very careful in mature mode. If your horse loses three times, and it can be ANY three races, it will get sent to the farm no matter how good it is. You didn't need multiple consoles to have a mini game tournament. They expected you to get in a line or something and just have everyone go one at a time until there was a winner. And they expected someone, somewhere to gather 100 people for this.

I just could not get into Mario Party Advance. I wanted to like it, but it was so bizarre. The Gaddgets were all super weird to me because most of them only do one thing and it's completely silent when you use them. Shroom City wasn't that bad, but when I got near the end, Koopa Kid would show up almost every turn. I couldn't get where I had to go because Koopa Kid would show up and fling me to the opposite side of the map when I got close. Even the act of taking turns felt completely unnecessary, like it was only there so that the game wasn't just mindlessly doing quests, most of which were so stupidly easy, the 'hard' ones were only hard because I had to get from point A to point B back to point A without getting screwed over by Koopa Kid. One last thing, how did they ever expect anyone to get 100 people together and huddle around a GBA to do a mini game tournament?
