It's great to hear that you're enjoying Cold Steel. I haven't heard much bad about the game so I figured you'd probably be enjoying it. It kinda sucks that you have to grind so much, but that's often the case with RPGs I suppose. I missed the recent sales on the game but next time it drops again I think I'll give it a buy. Thanks for the recommendation.

Cool, added you back as well. Cold Steel 1 was really good. Cold Steel 2 feels like it's going to be even better. I'm definitely playing it slowly though.

Cold Steel 2 is excellent.

It's a slight improvement over the first game, and I loved that one. The story's better, for one. More going on. It's also less routine. For spoilery reasons

SC's improving of orbment slots is in this game, too. Along with the associated +EP from doing so.
making Arts a lot more useful than the first game due to large mana pools.

Also, cross-play is working with zero issues. That's a big improvement (for me) over the first as some "trial" DLC messed up cross-play for the first game.

I loved really loved Danganronpa 1 but I'm not enjoying 2 quite as much as I had hoped I would. It's not a bad game, I'm just not enjoying the story or characters as much as I did in the first game.

How are you liking Trails of Cold Steel so far? I've heard great things about it but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Hey - congrats on the P4DAN plat! I'm making my way there soon, hopefully! I should have mentioned the Love Live anime sooner - in my opinion, the game is really more focused on fan service than actual character development. I really enjoyed the anime, and I really like the music. The game is a nice mobile rhythm game, but I agree - the anime tells a more interesting story with more three-dimensional characters. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series, wherever you are in it!

Hey - thanks for asking about PDF, it gave me a good reason to fire it back up again while thinking about how to respond.

I'm a little surprised that you say the notes feel out of sync with the music. I encountered that on the PS3 version (probably due to crummy tv), but when I switched to Vita, it felt much more in sync to me. Are you playing with headphones? (I always use headphones for rhythm games - and passive ones, not sound augmenting ones - those could introduce delay.)

I'm not sure if these will be the kind of recommendations that you're looking for... it took me several months and 39 hours of game time to plat the game [I might have gotten it sooner if I hadn't misinterpreted the Module trophy... I thought that included all accessories too, so I wasted a lot of DP on accessories and a lot of time trying to unlock the Platinum Crown accessory...]

Anyway, my suggestions for getting DP more efficiently would be:

1. Play on Extreme. Clearing Cat Food on Extreme nets 11550 Standard, 16500 Great, 23100 Excellent (without any boosts).

Getting comfortable on extreme was a challenge. It took me a lot of tries to clear one for the first time. But the next one took fewer tries. And so on (...until the last two. They're absurd... those have taken the most tries & I still fail...)

Also, after getting comfortable on Extreme, Hard will seem like cake - challenge items will be much easier then.

2. Use the Perfectionist item. Maybe it's just me, but I always thought Perfectionist was easier than Survival or Mega Survival - because you can earn back stamina.

Clearing Cat Food on Extreme with Perfectionist gets you 92400 DP - [Link] - and it can be done with only 71% Cool. Excellent of Nostalogic on Hard: 61,600 DP, 64.8% Cool. You don't *actually* have to be perfect - as long as you avoid streaking below cool too long. And even if you fail with Perfectionist - [Link] - you can earn back 660 DP of the 1000 DP investment, so it's not that much DP lost - and you'll do better the next time you try with Perfectionist.

My last one would be:

3. Practice, but pace yourself - I generally do the same song several times in a row, and usually do better each time. Once I feel myself hitting a wall, though, I move on to another song or take a break.

Good luck - let me know how it goes or if there's anything else I can do!
