I am I am, actually it's funny, my dad introduced me to them when I was a kid. I thank him often for that. :P

Unfortunately I haven't given it a go yet, I will at some point, though. I've heard good things.

I haven't actually started this one I just put it up as it as downloading onto my Xbone. I loved the first game and haven't bothered grabbing the third one yet. I wanted to finish up Dragon Quest Heroes before getting into any other games

Not that I know of. And I guess it is a source port of sorts, if emulation counts? (Forgive me, I am so not techno savvy ) I bought it off GOG.com.

Blood is hard, and I tend to take a cautious approach with it since I'm not skilled enough to play it like a cowboy and rush around shooting everything. I had no problems with the controls myself, they were crisp and responsive for me. Though I can't say I had much luck in getting Redneck Rampage to cooperate with my PC... it was hideously bogged down to the point where I decided trying to get it to work with me was a lost cause.

As far as ZDoom goes... I wouldn't know. Never kept up with that stuff and I always used Skulltag for Doom. I think I read one guy tried to get it working with it but a hard drive crash lost all his work. I'm sorry I couldn't be of any help...

There's a few changes to the rock band formula that I feel are step backs.

1) No online at all, Harmonix says it costs too much money

2) not all DLC is backwards compatable and if it's off the marketplace you won't have access to it, despite them saying otherwise before. So my 500+ dlc is now 218 DLC

3) the fact that the xbone version requires an attachment and the game was delayed solely on that platform because of it

4) a new scoring system is in place for story mode. Star power and combo carries over to the next song, by doing so the game no longer registers the score beside the song and you lose it as being played when you check your scores in freeplay, forcing you to replay the terrible songs in this edition and there are a lot of terrible songs

5) the mic, my preferred instrument , is overly sensitive. If I move the mic the airflow gets picked up and can unleash my star power in a dead zone.

6) you can't create each band member, you can't design anything, the create aspect is watered down

--

There's some pros to the experince like hey its more rock band! and the story mode is amusing at times but you have to decide between free items or fans and ultimately it doesn't matter. I do like that fan requests pop up once in awhile and songs that weren't selectable for that setlist can show up now.

I say wait 2 months and it will be a bargin title. it's so flawed between no discs in boxs, wrong instruments in band sets and the list goes on. There are 1000's of problems that harmonix is trying to address and failing at it thus far.

Yeah, I wrote a review for it way back when it was released and until I saw you were playing it I had almost forgotten it existed:

Hey Brett, was curious to see the person at the top of the Xbox One 'beaten' leaderboards.

You might want to review it a bit as you have a couple of dupes - I noticed Costume Quest 2 for example.

No problem, thanks for returning it.

Well, you're not half wrong there, indeed it is intended to be Sean Connery, but it's actually Big Boss from the Japanese MSX original of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Pretty much all of the characters' portraits in the game were based on a movie star. You can see most right here: [Link]

Sonic All-Stars really does feel lazy in comparison to its predecessor, and it's even more confusing as both games were made by Sumo. I'll happily hold the original All-Stars Racing as the best kart racer I've ever played by virtue of its creative and tight level design, its sense of speed, and the way it was suffused with Sega nostalgia.

Transformed lacks all of that.

Back a long time ago I had bought the game in disk format... the flat, square-shaped kind. Where it went, I don't know... I've lost the game for good. Though you can get it off 3D Realms' site considering you pay for it. But yeah, it's a 2D side scroller/platformer game. It wasn't that bad, actually. I kind of enjoyed it.

And I play all my arcade games on MAME. I wish I lived near an arcade... but they're all but empty shells of their former selves anymore.
