Did you play Dokapon Kingdom with friends? It seems like a fun game, although it’s very pricey now.

Nothing specifically on the horizon I can think of, maybe a few retro-inspired games on the fringes of Steam but really nothing I can think of at this time. The backlog grows and grows, nor do I have the energy to fully capture it all on here but I just add whatever I've beaten lately on here and call it a win I guess hahah

I'm slightly embarrassed by how many Atelier games I have in my backlog now - Lulua, Mysterious Trilogy, Dusk Trilogy, Ryza 2... I'm viewing it as more of a library of good games over a pile of shame these days

Very smart decision playing the older games first! I was going to do the same thing by playing Dusk Trilogy first but then got swayed by Ryza in the end Atelier games feel like a warm hug, they're just so wholesome and cozy

I thought it was really good, the ATB system is a bit different but overall I feel like it added a lot more action - I'm looking forward to playing Ryza 2, but need to finish a few other JRPGS that I started and haven't finished yet first

Yeah he was introduced in X5. I liked High Max's design and voice

If I recall all the fights have a pattern but sometimes they have different variations of their patterns in the later games. They are probably the fights I always dread lol. If they could just do it randomly I'd probably have beaten less mega man games

It's nice knowing someone else knows who High Max is lol.

Basically it is better to do the spin slash over the weakness or the fight drags on. It's kinda annoying and really you just gotta memorize the patterns but man it took me forever to get it down.

It's pretty annoying because his weakness barely hurts with Zero. Thankfully I managed to beat it because I finally got the pattern down

From a story point of view, yes, Persona 5 Strikers continues the adventures of the main cast. I’m actually not the far into the game, so I cannot really speak for much else.
I don’t know what to think about the combat system, since it is a unique mixture of Persona and Warriors, but it is certainly interesting.

hello. thank you for messaging. it's nice to meet you :-)
i enjoy trying to keep my backlogs for anything on the low.

i have a rule that i can only have up to 3 active 'things' for each medium of art at any given time.

ex: 3 vns in progress, 3 vgs in progress, 3 mangas in progress, 3 books in progress... etc etc

i used to just go with the flow of whatever i wanted to do, but i am a very active person when it comes to art, so i ended up with reading 30 different manga at one time. i do not recommend that situation at all xD

i think everyone's different, but for me, limiting myself is the way to go. it keeps everything nice and tidy in my head, and it makes the experience overall much more relaxing.

i personally have not started grisaia (a sin in the VN community, haha) but i have read Fate. imo, it's an average fantasy anime story with some masterpiece moments sprinkled throughout (a character known as kotomine kirei is far more interesting than most of the routes in the vn!). i read it just to say i read it, really. i much prefer Nasu and Takeuchi's earlier work, Tsukihime. the game is broken up into two types of routes. near-side = just fantasy fate writing again, this time with vampires! i don't care for it that much. but the far-side routes are all character study ones about the mysterious tohno mansion inhabitants, and it's quite good. i would definitely recommend the game just to read farside routes.

my favorite visual novels are the original 3 ace attorney games. they are super wacky and fun. if you enjoy crying (haha) you can try KEY's famous nakige (literally 'crying game') masterpieces, AIR, kanon, and little busters! of the three, litbus is my favorite. if you could tell me what you'd usually like to read about, i can give some more specific rec's, i'm sure :-)

yeah, the plot is never that interesting. i am sure we are the same as everyone else: sure the battles are there, but we're playing for those cutesy anime characters! hahaha

have a good day :-)
May you attain enlightenment
